I no longer buy seeds from anyone. I usually plant my own seeds which I preserve from the past harvest. I urge you to do the same. Also, I observe Crop Rotation which my Great Grandmother used to do, and I learned from her. I plant sweet potatoes, then Maize, then Beans, then let it lay furrow for a year and then start all over again. I use manure from the cow sheds because I do not practice Zero Grazing at all. The materials I use is Withonia Somnifera and other common weeds to make the composts. I aim at self sufficiency in at least 80% of all the foodstuff I consume with my family.

Lynn, I am not a Kenyan but I can assure you that Steve is right concerning not owning organic seeds. It happened in India some years back. The farmers ran into debt a lot of them committed suicide because The seeds did not eventually yield much as expected hence they couldn't afford the next season seeds, so they are always indebted to seed sellers. It is like toiling for nothing, they couldn't even pay children school fees Is that not a form slavery. GMO foods are not even healthy. The problem is that we Africans don't even do our investigations nor will our leaders fight to protect our graciously beautiful and fertile continent (as long as bribe is involved). They don't care about future generations. In India key figures from some NGOs fought for the farmers and pushed the westerner "lords" out and make it impossible for them to continue the atrocities. Lynn, I am not a Kenyan but I can assure you that Steve is right concerning not owning organic seeds. It happened in India some years back. The farmers ran into debt a lot of them committed suicide because
The seeds did not eventually yield much as expected hence they couldn't afford the next season seeds, so they are always indebted to seed sellers. It is like toiling for nothing, they couldn't even pay children school fees

The problem is that we Africans don't even do our investigations nor will our leaders fight to protect our graciously beautiful and fertile continent (as long as bribe is involved). The land issue already happened a few months ago in Zimbabwe... please any one go to Aljeezera houses were demolished and people were told all the land belongs to the government... as if that was not enough the operation moved to the villages where my mom is based ...we are being taxed for everything ... cows, homestead , borehole and we are yet to be taxes for installing solars, jojo tanks and so on. I wish l knew how to attach the documents here on rules and regulations on farming in your own shamba ... we thought it was ridiculous but now after listening to him it all makes sense

Steve Mbogo is a based guy and knows what he's talking about. As Kenyans- no wait, scratch that; As Africans, we need to wake up, research and learn how the world really works. The small group of people who are out to seek global control of the world, we should prevent them from doing so! For the majority who are finding out this reality, start reading & researching with the aim of understanding what's going on so that we can have this conversation more often. The power is in our hands, let us harness it and use it for our benefit but most importantly, for the benefit of our future generations that we'll leave behind.

Two days ago i was having a conversation with my hubby on how i just want the traditional seeds my grandma used to plant, i just want to start keeping my own manure.
