Simple message explained beautifully, I've always had an idea that you don't need to be rich to feel wealthy, but it's almost as if you unscrambled my mind and put everything in order. Many thanks for this great video - you deserve more views.
Love your content man! One thing I would like to know is if you cover your expenses aren’t you just “breaking even”? Isn’t the goal to go beyond breaking even?
That's absolutely true. In practice, I would recommend going beyond breaking even before quitting your job. You do want to have an emergency fund, be able to save, and also prepare for the bigger things in life (like having kids, etc.). My concern is that people won't work towards that because they think they need millions. The goal isn't necessarily to quit your job as soon as you break even. Each person and their own "risk tolerance" (I have a family to support, so I can't take unnecessary risks). But if you've gotten to the point you're breaking even - you are literally two steps away from financial freedom. Then, use the freedom of time to invest more in your income, your health and your relationships. 💪
That's a really good video with a great message. Sometimes everything seems overwhelming and too much. But breaking it down like that, it seems achievable. ❤
Exactly. Once you breakdown the numbers, it isn't that complicated. We often get distracted by the riches of the rich, rather than trusting the simple math.
Great video mate. I’ve read the millionaire fastlane and it’s a great book but like you said you don’t need to be rich to be financially free which I’m on the same boat I actually don’t care about rich, I have a great life now if I just replaced my 9-5 with more freedom then that’s really all I care about
You said it perfectly. My goal is to have more time for my family, self-care, and enough money for the future and hopefully some charity. Life is actually simple when you don't chase vanity.
Love the video, and I get the point of it and I agree with you, but would you say that your still trading your time (doing UA-cam) in exchange for getting money? You still have to continue to upload to keep the cashflow coming right? You still have to spend a lot of time to make sure the videos are high quality right?
Hi! Of course you have to put in the work. There's no such a thing as passive income without upfront work. You gotta build the asset in one way or another. (I believe I mentioned that in the video about how I got my first asset) The ONLY way to get paid is by offering value in exchange for the payment. How can you provide value by doing nothing? So you either work at a job, save, and buy the position of leverage, or you can build the asset (and it's up to you how long it'll take). Either way, you pay upfront with time to either save or build. I hope that makes sense 😄
