How do you write poetry?! I have learning difficulties and I find it difficult to read and understand poetry. I am NOT a Poet! I am clever but I find it difficult to understand many things! 1. You become aware of something in your environment that seems interesting or beautiful. 2. You find words or little phrases that you think nicely describe what you are putting your attention on. 3. Don't worry about making a 'poem', just jot down a few words or phrases as explained above- that is enough. If you want to weave it into something longer and call it a 'poem' that is up to you.
