this absolutely falls in the category sweet in fiction but creepy in real life. she does not want be married, however since she is in the past, as a woman, she cannot divorce him, so she is trying to make him hate her and divorce her. instead of confessing or just accepting everything she is doing, he tricks her and her parents, in effect gradually making them distrusting her, making them think he is the doting husband, who has to put up with her unreasonable childishness, making everyone in the city and everyone with power think that way.....whatever his intentions, he is gradually isolating her from her support group, from society psychologically. he jeopardised her relationship with her parents. now, if she returns to them again for whatever reason, they'll only think she is being childish and unreasonable since he seems to be such a good husband and send her back to him... what kind of power does he gain over her.... nobody will believe any word she says about him now.... and him letting her go...if this was before the divorce letter thing. it would be so sweet, but now, honestly where will she go now? her parents are mad at her and will probably send her back. luckily this is a romance drama and we know he loves her and would never do anything that would harm her and we know evtl. she'll love him back. in real life, this is the beginning of a horrifying domestic abuse story....

FL's mischiefs were interesting and funny at first. They even led to solutions to problems the ml was facing. But near halfway through, it got to be annoying and her antics were too much already that you just wanna slap her silly. I wish season 2 will show character growth for the fl, asap, or else I'd be tired waiting for her to grow up already.

How these creepy shows pass review in the first place, if they pass, there needs to be label to on them state they will cause emotional distress to the female characters, so anyone not creepy can avoid it.

not sure if it's the english subs. it's not about her not wanting depending on him, it's about her wanting him to divorce her, since she can't as a woman. she doesn't want to be married and end up tending to household, husband and children like a servant, which is the traditional role for married women. her idea, while simplistic, is if she destroyed something valuable, he will divorce her. nothing more infuriating than someone destroying your meds. when she realised those are not for him but to save other people she regretted it.
To be honest she should have just run away, while it would be hard living, hating someone that much isn't healthy. It would just be better to leave. Not everyone wants to get married and that's okay. While I understand this is supposed to be fictional historical, some women back then also ran away. Forced marriages should die out already instead of being glorified like the couple will ever be happy.

Well these are low budget series which are also called ‘’ short dramas ‘’ while the others have good production, million worth actors for example you mentioned Xiao Zhan, even assembling of these dramas can take 2 years at the earliest, especially if it is wuxia or xianxia type. And platforms expect to earn a lot of money from those dramas. So they are also waiting for good airing moment. In short, that’s why it takes long to air for those kind actor’s works
For example I’m waiting Chen Kun and Zhou Xun’s movie which was shot in 2017. They said that they will be finished assembling this year, but let's see. So if you watch top tier actor’s work, you need to wait too long
