Very nicely explained Madam ! Thank you ! I stitched one blouse accordingly & it came out very well! One suggestion is, you should have showed it on a light colored cloth !
Hello mam, Thanks for the patient explanation....even though I have been stitching my own for sometime now...i didn't know about the ease allowance...after following your advice ...my blouses are very comfortable to wear n gives a great finished look ....thank you once again ...
Ma'am,I stitched my first ever blouse after learning each step from your video,my blouse has turned up great, thanks a lot to you. Please keep up the good work!!
Thanks for this detailed information blouse stitching video. I did my first blouse for which I am very proud. Do you do other videos like maxi skirt? If you do I will appreciate it. Once again thank you for your work of art.
Your video was very much helpful..Thank you..After finishing stitching, i find the difference in the length of the front and back part (with extra half inch cloth). Please explain me where is it going wrong.
My front was longer than the back. The side seams were not the same length when I was trying to stitch the front and back pieces at the side seams. And the blouse was very loose.
I am assuming it is because I added seam allowance for the yoke piece. But the blouse was very loose. So next time I am not adding extra to the bust measurement or waist measurement and just take the exact measurement.
This is a great video! I need to make my own blouse for a saree I'm ordering. I think with this video's help I can do it! If I want to have the closure in the back instead of the front, do I just cut the back and follow the same steps as you did for the front closure? I Like the closure to be in the back.
Alexandra Sears Dear Alexandra, thanks a lot for your nice comment and for your interest. This type of saree blouse with yoke strip usually has closure in the front. For back side closure, princess cut blouse pattern will look good in my opinion. Here no need of a yoke strip, also no need of middle horizontal dart on the front side. But, if you are OK with little bit of experimenting you can stitch by just cutting the back and following the steps I have shown. I think it will also look good. Please send me a picture once you finish stitching it. I would like to post it on my facebook page..... Thanks...
as a larger women I have been looking for patterns i found one by Burda but I may try yours I wish people would sell patterns but they do not as if u have a basic pattern I feel you can change it from there .But I must say I do like your video many thanks for sharing as I do sell Indian clothes in new zealand and have been asked to make some blouses now I may try lol hope I do not make to many misstacks

+Sharmista Chatterjee Hi Sharmista, Aakhir me phir se measurement mark karnein hain, beech me se bahar ki aur, jaisa maine video me bataya hai. Phir bhi back ki or thoda sa kapda bach jayega (may be half inch both sides), koi bath naheen. Usko end mein kaaT sakte hain. Hope it is clear.
Alas! AT last I have come upon a really good lesson showing how to cut and stich my blouse. Thank u very much madam...The only thing is that, had u used french curve for marking neck and armholes it would have been a bit more clear to me. Anyway tks a lot.
