Can I just say that I love that you do latency tests, you are the only keyboard enthusiast that actually does that on UA-cam, you just earned a subscription :)
It always makes me happy to hear that! ^-^ Thank you so much!
At that price point, the Womier SK65 is such a great value. I am happy for all the competition that I have seen in 2024.
2024 has been mind-blowing so far, I'm so excited for the coming months! Such a great competition! ^^
Quite a number of nice upgrades over the Lucky65! I really like this sound as well! If it's not VIA, which I don't think this is (but I could be wrong) I definitely prefer a knob as otherwise I would want to mod some keys for vol adjustment. Great soothing review as always!
I absolutely agree with this! It's not VIA, even though their just-released SK75 does support VIA. These differences are always interesting, I guess it has to do something with the available PCBs for the production, or it might be just a wild guess ^^ Thank you so much!
Love the review as always, you always make them so informative and aesthetic! I had a question about the wireless-wired switch tho, I watched some other reviews that say you can just press FN+Tab to turn it from wireless to wired as well so you don't need to remove the keycap every time. Do you know if that actually works?
Yes, it works, but this way the keyboard is constantly looking for the 'wake-up' key combination (hence minimally draining the battery), and it can be triggered while traveling with the keyboard. So I still prefer a physical switch.
Very good review. Essentially, this is a version of the Lucky65 with a knob. I have the Lucky65 and I really like it. I might get the SK65 just to have knob version lol
Thank you so much for your comment! ^-^ It's so great that we can choose from 2 slightly different variants, I guess that's indeed 'Lucky'! :)
Great video I enjoy this keyboard as well. Next can you do the nd75 by chilkey. I’m very curious about that keyboard too!
ND75 video will be published tomorrow! ^-^
@@thoccnology Can't wait to see that!
I insta-ordered their SK75 aluminum keyboard that as just announced. Then I realized how much it looks just like my Rainy75. Good thing I love that keyboard! I'm wondering if you'll get a unit to review soon? I've been really impressed by the quality of Womier products these days. I have a number of their double-shot PBT keycap sets that are very very good for the price. They've come a long way in the last few years! One of my first mechanical keyboards was a Womier K68 layered acrylic but it was never very good, no matter how hard I tried modding it.
I agree, Womier has improved quite a lot in recent months! (Oh my, so many changes in the past months on the mech keyboard market, isn't it?)
Oh, nice, which color did you choose? Yes, another Beige unit is on its way to me! ^^ The similarities to the Rainy75 are undeniable (there are so many keyboards looking almost identical that I can't believe they're not connected somehow - or maybe the designers realized that it's the most popular layout...?.. Who knows. :))
@@thoccnology I got the beige because I wasn't a fan of the other colors. I really like the light dusty pink of the Rainy75 that I got. Can't really go wrong with beige and I actually find myself bored by black keyboards. :) I'm looking forward to your review!
@@nebulazykbs Oh, beige twins then! ^^ One of the main reasons I got into custom keyboards is that I had enough of the standard black keyboards (originally I was into white or pink, but I ended up with a bunch of colors LOL), so I totally see your point there!
Really pleasant sound from this one, and the muted colors fit well with the creamy noise. Need me a 75% with a screen for silly GiFs and im all in :p Thanks for the review ^^
Oh, you always shed light on deep connections! Now I know why it's really a fitting colorway for the sounds! ^^
They just released a 75%, but no screen, unfortunately. :C The ND75 has one though, silly GIFs ftw! ;)
@@thoccnology Glad i could help x) Still waiting for my ND75 but thats exactly why i pre-ordered one :3
Sounds really nice. I strongly dislike the under-key power switch thing though.
I totally agree. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like turning off the keyboards at the end of the day, or when moving them, so it's quite a pain point for me too
Did Glarses designed the Lucky65 keycaps? The fonts looked like it was written by the same marker he used where he re-map all the keys to only input the letter A.
LMAO now I can't unsee the similarities!
Is it possible for you to redo the latency test on the Lucky65 and SK65 friend? People compared their PCBs and apart from a different number they are actually the same, even with holes for a knob
The different numbers actually mean it's a different PCB. Even the flex-cuts are completely different.
can you do a review on the jamesdonkey a3
I like JamesDonkey boards, so I'll try to review it!
Is the spacebar switch north facing? Or in revere like the lucky65?
Yes, the spacebar is North-facing!
What's the sound characteristics of ixpe and pet sheet ? And also do they make board more clackier ?
They make the sound profile poppier - also it's said that with ixpe foam all builds ' sound the same' - I find this a bit exaggerating, but it's true that it gives off a foamy sound no matter the switch.
@@thoccnology One more ques: what's the sound difference between packaging foam(pe doam) mod vs the given ixpe sheet? which one do you prefer more ?
@@absoluteghost9628 They're very close in sound. I think I'd prefer the given ixpe sheet, as it has the holes pre-installed/pre-cut and I would prefer avoid pushing minuscule pieces of packaging foam into the switch socket while (I know it's very microscopical, but I'm afraid it gets clogged up and causes unwanted actuation)
Can you suggest best budget he keyboard ?
From the ones I've tried, and that are on a budget, the Polar65 seems to be the best!
is this keeb better than the leobog hi75?
Leobog Hi75 is a bit more thockier, but if you prefer 65% layout, this one is very good choice
