This is a good arrangement, but SO blatantly a variation of the Gene Puerlings arrangement made famous by The Manhattan Transfer. He's excised a bunch a true crunchiness but the way treats the rhythm is almost beat for beat the same. It feels like a neutered version of that arrangement. It even ends with the exact same cadential progression. I'm not sure whether Shaw took legal action but damn, he should have. Listen to the two side by side and you'll see what I mean.
