Ive watched a pretty good amount of anime but Haikyuu is one of very few that I can confidently say that every season is truly better than its previous. If you're already considering this anime as one of your favorites I cant wait for your future reactions to the later seasons.
And 1 more thing about me is that here on the rez my brother and I are like the power offense and deadly defense in softball. When I was around 8-12 my siblings and cousins would always combine to make a full roster (5 guys & 5 girls) with 2 players to sub. But as the years went on now it's only down to 4 of us that plays, my brother and I and 2 cousins. Since it's always my brother and I, we are always having practice year round down at our local baseball field. For that is the reason why we always get asked to play for someone we know or a complete new team. And honestly last year I was so shocked and surprised to see a younger team has joined in too.
Season 2 is good, they will grow individually and as a team as well, with their determination and passion to grow stronger and united team (Karasuno) A lot of things will happen and a lot of new characters will show (who also will be their inspiration).

if y'all looking for a romance anime i highly recommend kaguya-sama, it is one of the best out there, the two MC chemistry is amazing and all the characters including the side ones are well fleshed out, not to mention that the comedy is GOLD
