It's kinda deemening to say "you're free" when the choice is "do what we want or you're not free" I've conquered my IRL dark urges long ago, and I chose this path cause I actually wanted to reawaken them, give me some life, as I feel I've gone too light, balance darkness in with my light, be a balance of my full self, I chose this, and I can say, this game has helped me gain those things back and have a bit more drive and life, I needed some darkness to feed my light again and vice versa. So I didn't do this for bhaal, or obey him, I made my own damn choice, but it seems what the game considers freedom is meekly capitulating to the social norms of your companions. Then I again I almost feel like the writers channel my past self, especially since I see myself like a white dragon inside and that's what the default player is, and I did conquer my urges before, but yeah. But I done so by not hating myself because of them, I think the real key is not hating yourself, any aspect of yourself. I always was the author of my own tale, which is why I chose the dark urge path from the start.

Why would she be happy about you being Bhaal lapdog after her past experience? I doubt there is a choice to yoink Bhaal power and run scott free.
@@Narn29 it's not about being Bhaal "lapdog" from her point of view it's not because someone give you power that you must be their lapdog, be a wolf in sheep clothing, hide you fangs from them and when you can take their position, bite their throat ( menzoberranzan style ). seems hypocritical of shadowheart to go off like that after fully supporting her pursuit of becoming a dark justiciar...
In way yes...but Shadowheart was fighting her nature the whole time. She was never *really* Shar's.
it's just interesting since if you let her become a dark justiciar before going to cazador's castle, she actually is supportive of astarion sacrificing thousands to ascend, but not you accepting bhaal :?@@agirlnamedmichael1670
It's kinda deemening to say "you're free" when the choice is "do what we want or you're not free"
I've conquered my IRL dark urges long ago, and I chose this path cause I actually wanted to reawaken them, give me some life, as I feel I've gone too light, balance darkness in with my light, be a balance of my full self, I chose this, and I can say, this game has helped me gain those things back and have a bit more drive and life, I needed some darkness to feed my light again and vice versa.
You shouldn't hate yourself, but you should have a little shame for writing all that. JFC dude.
murder is bad actually
you're weird lmao
So you have psychotic fantasies and are living them out vicariously through video games? I think you need some sunshine, fresh air and a refillable prescription of lithium.
Kindly never speak again, jesus christ, this isn't a fantasy universe where you're the child of a god
Minthara hates bhall but disapproves of you rejecting bhall doesn't make sense
She believes accepting the power that comes with being the chosen of Bhaal is your destiny, and that you can control that power for your own (and hopefully hers too) ends. She doesent think bhaal is a worthy master, but sees you as having something to gain from him even so.
So she disapproves rejecting Bhaal but gives the speech how hes manipulative douche and how bad he is. Like what course of action can player take for her to be happy? Why would she be happy about you being Bhaal lapdog after her past experience? I doubt there is a choice to yoink Bhaal power and run scott free.
You don’t understand because you lack MOTIVATION
@@Narn29 it's not about being Bhaal "lapdog" from her point of view it's not because someone give you power that you must be their lapdog, be a wolf in sheep clothing, hide you fangs from them and when you can take their position, bite their throat ( menzoberranzan style ). In this universe god are not in their position forever... except Ao, dont mess with Ao, like never
It’s because she believes that instead of being a thrall for Bhaal like the other gods, he instead will ‘unleash’ you. Basically meaning that he unleashes us and we can do whatever we want
