There's one thing that I realized after I've watched Andrew's films and interviews, etc. is that at some point I don't care and I don't think about his sexuality anymore. Sometimes it is like a 'reminder' to me when people ask him about it. And I realized I was just watching his performances, listening to his opinions, and adoring him as a loveable person, a great actor. I thought to myself "maybe it's how I should have been with other LGBTQ+ artists as well". They are humans, just like me, like us. And they are talented and genuine and humble, so I adore them. Just as simple as that.

He was Lord Merlin in The Pursuit of Love who I am sure was gay but didn't know the actor was gay as well. Linda develops a crush on him at her older sister's coming out ball but she meets Tony Kroesig and Lord Merlin is more like a mentor to her.

i actually respectfully disagree with him saying gay actors talking about being gay "all the time" (i don't really think anyone is doing that) is not interesting. I think, for those actors, it can come from a place of not feeling comfortable talking about it for so long, that when they finally do...they talk about it a lot in order to...idk make up for lost time, or normalize it. To me that is interesting. but i understand his desire for us to essentially move beyond labels. Unfortunately, we are just not really there yet as a society, and the onus shouldn't be on queer people there.

Yeah, totally. Especially knowing in the film industry there's surprisingly still a lot of stigma. And not only that, but in the "real world" as well, there are still cases of discrimination and abuse. When sometimes our right to live is taken from us, of course we want to make as much "noise" as possible, of course we won't stay quiet or stay low... There's still much work to do, and sure everyone can live their life how they want to, but it is definitely not entirely normalized just yet and we cannot "move on".
