Define waste? No animal eats every bit of hay - and yarding cattle means bigtime cleanout bills. Bale and swath grazing builds organic matter, water holding capacity, and cycles nutrients right where you want them. Plus, forage yield in year 2, 3, 4 on these sites is HIGHER, typically. It's not wasted.
