It's pretty much impossible to make a South Park episode around ICP, because nobody could get more dirt on ICP and their Fans than themselves already do, it would be completely redundant
Quick criticism; While you still try to ride around youtubes absurd censorship stuff, it would be a cool thing if you had a theme-specific censorship sound except "deez nuts", for this episode it could be a clown honk, for a black metal one the first note of freezing moon etc.
Weirdly enough despite all this Juggalos are probably the most accepting and tolerant fanbase ive ever interacted with. Its so strange to see a fanbase that just *isnt* toxic. They're all just a bit crazy.
I remember when i thought i had greater taste in music than most, and i used to$h!t on icp. Then i realized a few things. 1) They have stayed truer to the ethics of 99% of punk bands that claim to be open-minded, but aren’t, etc. 2) it was cringe for me to ever assume my taste in music was ‘cool’ . If you think this way, you’re anthony fantano. Period. There’s no way around it 3) obsessing over/ criticizing a band that is 20/30 years past their cultural relevancy is cringier than anything a jugallo does.
Growing up in Indianapolis in the 90's, ICP was absolutely massive amongst my fellow poor white kids. I never really got down with the music, but I loved Juggalos. Really fun ppl to party with. Especially when you're a teenage kid with no parents at home. PS- Also, the Faygo thing stems from ICP hailing from Michigan where Faygo is the State Beverage. Churches use it for communion instead of wine. Water fountains dispense Faygo, not water. If you are in the hospital they hook you up to an IV of Faygo. It's a wild place. The Southern United States gets a bad rep for being "dumb" or "backward" but obviously those people have never been to MIchigan. It is by far the biggest Hick State in the Union. I love it.
Faygo is made in Detroit, their hometown. Danny Brown has referenced it too. I live a few states over and only see it in bargain stores out here - I presume it's easier to find the closer you get to Michigan. It tastes alright.
Danny Brown also dabbles in horrorcore too at times. He known to be a fan of Esham (godfather of horrorcore pretty much and they did a song together in 2011) who a lot of ICP fans love too.
I got taken to an ICP gig in London in 2017, shit was crazy. Felt like I was back in the late '90s, the venue security just completely gave up and didn't know how to respond to such an overwhelmingly large section of the audience openly doing drugs and going fuckin' nuts. Super fun night, though, everyone was friendly and welcoming and fair play to the clowns, they played a long set and the energy in that room was something I won't soon forget!
I love this video as a juggalo myself who has tattoos and basically half my personality is Juggalo themed and clown theme I absolutely love this community yeah it has its degenerates but then again every fanbase has is degenerates. The Gathering of the Juggalos is my home away from home I love it so much. Being able to just go to some place for a whole week and do whatever the fuck you want. Is awesome. I've seen a guy butt naked arm wrestling a guy. So many women have their chest open on display that when you go back to normal society you forget that women don't normally do that. It's insane. And it's awesome I've met the clowns five times and I hope to meet them more. I even have my own clown suit just like the clown suits that they have on stage. And also I wouldn't say the degeneracy is encouraged. Violence J himself has said that some of the Kink shit that happens at the Gathering shouldn't be there because the Gathering is advertised as a family event and the people that dress up in dog suits and roll around on leashes are fucked. And even last year there were some cases of fentanyl. And every artist came out against that. And even said that it is not encouraged or supposed to happen at the Gathering. The community itself is full of drug addicts. And people recovering that's why there are a lot of Juggalo programs to help people. I don't believe it is pushed by the artist themselves but during the Gathering it can get pretty wild. Hell this year I'm going to bring a box of 40 cigars and smoke them all within that week I want to make sure to have a cigar with me the entire time I'm there there isn't going to be a point where I'm not smoking. It's going to be fucking awesome. So yeah and you're welcome to the Gathering bro it's pretty cheap it's only like $200 to $300. Normally when I'm going there I'm going with a pack of people and it's about two grand but hey if you want to go there cheap you can't I just don't do that. I love spending a lot of money on my vacations. And as a fan I would like to speak on the gang label for a minute. The game label was completely dumb to start with. Juggalos and its Community has always stated that we are non-violent in any way. Other than wrestling we're completely non-violent. The decision to label us as a gang was just because our lyrics have murder in it. And a few people consider themselves Juggalos while they were being a gang. But clearly we're not and even the FBI has backtracked on their statement calling us a gang. We are no longer on the gang list as of writing in 2024 they put out a new gang list like every 5 or 10 years and we have been off the gang list for a while. I think ever since 2017. We have been off the gang list because of the lawsuits and the March.
This was cool. You should do more videos on different genres. Don’t get me wrong, I love your videos on metal, but I could genuinely listen to you talk about music genres for hours.

Punk veteran millennial here. In the underground punk culture, last I was there (2016) being a crust punk was socially acceptable albeit frowned upon and set apart from the rest of the scene, it was pretty common for spikey street punx and crust punks to be friends with one another individually, and it was even more common to see crust punks at street punk shows, oftentimes whom had enough money for the show as it was 5-10 bucks at the door on average. I was in the scene from 2005-2016 and I saw a lot of change, for instance I witnessed homophobia being something passed off as average "doucheyness" in the bush years, to becoming seen as an un-punk faux pas that would get you called out, by the end of the obama years. But I never once saw crusties being ostracized in the punk community. What I witnessed was that people like to give them shit more than anything, that being said, I remember seeing h*r**n being a subject of stigma and something most users kept private to themselves. Being from Michigan, the juggalos and faygo soda pop have been around here forever. Especially living near the Detroit area where ICP is basically their home base. Not into their music, but they are still getting exposure even to this day
ICP, surprisingly, has an important spiritual aspect at the very core of their music and themes. They constructed a modern mythology called the Dark Carnival which represents the afterlife with an eternal judgement of good and evil, ultimately leading to God. Not necessarily a Christian-exclusive concept of God, but they use the big G word so yeah, it's God.
