Thank you, ive been using computer and doing basic networking for the internet for ages, but i never really fully understood the complete ip networking system since that very video! thank you so much!
Great content. I was looking for a brief DevOps specific Linux course - thank you for summarizing the prerequisites this way YOU HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD! I was wondering if you don't mind sharing, what is the software you used to create the contents? I love it very professional.
It has been a great experience watching this video. This video was very easy part of me. I realized that I am ready to start devops engineering. I am an experienced network engineer and I want to start the devops engineering area. What is your suggestions to start this area? book or course anything will help me. thank you.

Thanks for this course! I learned a lot of new and valuable things. Is there any continuation of this course (or a higher level)? Thank you in advance!
I found you though the suggested videos.First your videos are very amazing.I just made a You Tube channel so i'm defenitely doing my research.Thank for all your help. Please keep it up!💪!Just subbed!🖤
For people with apple silicon ARM processors (M1,2,3) is there a recommended way to follow along the tutorial? I read about some possible virtualization tools for ARM like UTM, but they don't support CentOS
Thanks for sharing this. They are really helpful. One questions on using multiple adapters. Let's say I have two adapter setup in a VM and both have internet access. How does VM pick which adapter to use when I try to access internet and is this deterministic?
In the case of Windows (my assumption to the OS you're using since you called it a "adapters" instead of "network devices"), Windows will choose the adapter with the lowest routing metric. The determination for routing metric is based off of things such as link speed (a 10 Gb adapter will be chosen before a 1 Gb adapter). If both adapters have the same link speed, then hop count and time delay will be measured to determine which adapter to select as the primary adapter. If by some chance both adapters had the same link speed, hop count, and time delay then Windows will select the first discovered adapter (discovered meaning when the system has scanned for any and all network adapters during boot). In Linux systems, routing information is usually contained in a file called /etc/network/interfaces which will specify which IP addresses a device has or if it should wait for an address from DHCP. Typically the first network device will be selected to handle the default route. However if the first device loses connectivity, it's not guaranteed the second device will immediately take over. This is where a feature called "network teaming" (in Windows) or "network bonding" (in Linux) comes into play. A bond can be set up between two adapters for multiple purposes but a common trend is to set up the bonded devices for failover. You would connect eno1 port to one switch, eno2 to a different switch but in /etc/network/interfaces create a new logical device called "bond0" (or something similar). One device will be the primary device while the second one is "asleep". The loopback address continuously scans the network devices to see which is up and connected to a responding switch (this is called the "carrier"). If the loopback address detects that the primary device has lost its carrier, it will switch this device off and make the secondary device now active. The secondary device(s) also must create a virtual MAC address so the MAC address does not change when the primary device is dropped. Otherwise a message sent by the primary device prior to losing connectivity will never get back to the host machine.
For any new technology not required coding skill. U should know logic. That's it. Even I am java developer but I don't java at first time and I have done bsc physics. This video is for beginners not for pro.

The labs page says "something has changed" and it's confusing if a sign up gets the base labs for free or maybe it's $35 per month now? I did a sign up, and verified email via click into link sent.. and now every time I try to sign in to see if the lab is available, it just says: "Unknown email address. Check again or try your username." - I waited and tried again.. and waited and tried again. I've done a half dozen google captcha things now, and giving up for the day.
Linux is Unix-like OS with some customization in Package Management. So Yes, it's woth taking the course and also you can try VirtualBox to get hands on with the Linux OS

A note, it's not system 'cuttle' but system control "ctl"

Does the concepts tackled in the "Virtual Box Networking" section apply to network namespaces in a Linux machine ?
