@@TravelsThroughNature Just came back from fishing that spot. Powerbait wasn't working, but spinners and plastic worms did the trick. Caught 5 good sized trout.
Dude... those are the biggest Azz white slip bobbers I've ever seen (not talkin' about the clear floats). Where did you get those from? Most slip bobbers are very narrow and tall. Thanks.
Been fishing the past few days there and have only got a good sized carp. Went on a boat and tried at the dam. Nothing. But I am catching things so that’s all I need
@@TravelsThroughNature hard not to lose hope but thats just part of fishing, i fish at dusk usually. next time im up there ill try a slip bobber, can you tell me how long the leader would be?
@jermeythundercock387 Late evening right before sunset is good, too. I usually use between a 5 - 8 ft leader & On warmer days use 10-15 ft leader with the slip bobber. Carolina Rig with about a 5ft leader works too, thrown close to shore. 🤙
How many of those trout caught on bait/treble hooks will survive? Stats say very few You have your limit plus. Try mini jigs, lures etc. Kudos on a good day. Huge boo on releasing so many bait hooked trout
@arthurlandsford6683 There were 3 of us and we only kept 7. Thanks for your concern but we are releasing only the fish that will make it.. keeping ones that dont make it and big ones that we want to eat.. 🎣
What is the exact coordinates for the rock you were standing on
At the Dam near the Bouy Line.
That fish at the 17 sec mark looks so healthy like it's a native, beautiful.
Yeah it was a super nice lookin trout
where is this spot
This is near the dam
The water is so green today
Yeah there has been alot of algae this year
@@TravelsThroughNature we didn't catch nothing I'm so bummed spent the whole day at the lake
@@aldercyg what part of the lake did you fish at? And what time?

@@JSNV Glad to hear you got some! I was there on Sunday and got my limit on powerboat but some days they are hitting on different things.
New sub ! Liked 🙏👍😎👏
Appreciate you!! 🎣🎣
I’m going this weekend. I’ve gone fishing 80million times w no luck! This makes me hopeful!!!🔥🔥
Awesome! Give it another go! Try using a slip bobber by the dam, they are biting early in the morning or late in the evening 🎣
How do you get the bait to not float. I know powerbait floats. Is it a weighted treble hook or something
There is a weight. Look up Carolina Rig on google, it uses a weight and a swivel to keep the desired leader length.

I got them on amazon. They work great. The plastic ones seem to break on me at times, but these ive had for 2 seasons.

Atleast you got a nice carp! Try early in the morning or late evening for the trout🤙
I'll be there next week trying my luck.
Nice, good luck out there! Try and go early!
was just up there this weekend 8/20. Lake is nasty with algae bloom.
Yea i heard the lake algae is bad right now. Did you end up fishing when you were there?
Im goin tomorrow for a bit hopefully ill get one lol
Good luck out there! I recommend getting out there early
i havnt caught anything after 3 months of going every week, ive trolled, used power bait at the dam, nothing is working. please help.
Keep on trying bro, What time of day are you fishing.? Slipp bobbers by the dam right at sunrise is best this time of year.

Keep the ones that swallow the hook, If lipped the fish gets put back 🎣
@@TravelsThroughNature Amazing how only the largest trout swallowed the bait and had to be kept.
