OMG can't believe they still haven't fix it! I also went through this bridge on my road bike when I traveled to Xiamen this summer (actually just posted a video of this day lol) I was vlogging while pedaling on the bridge (because it was quite beautiful there) and suddenly a big old hole on the ground!! It almost got me killed! I thought it was halfway of the construction project cause the bicycle lane ahead was also messed up, but there wasn't even a sign. Anyways, Matt if u r still in Fujian, you have to eat 面线糊 and Oyster omelette. and if u r going to Fuzhou, 绿道 is a must-see! 加油！
