At 8:34 Video says Charles Haury "In Memoriam" but does not say when/where he was born, when video clip was recorded, or if CLH is still living. Can you fill in those dates?
We DO appreciate the first-hand & personal accounts, showing people who served aboard these grand navy ships while they were in active duty... keep them coming when ever you can find them.
It was great for people to be recording these sort of "average inlisted man's memories" while more of these guys were still around to tell them.
I wish there were a few hundred more of these interviews recorded, to save bits of our collective history before lost+forgotten.

My grandfather served proudly on this ship and I was able to visit during October of 2020. My wife and I found his name on the sailor memorial within the ship. I wish I knew more about his time aboard the ship.

Please contact our historian Todd Kreamer at Tkreamer@ussalabama.com, perhaps you could help each other! He does biographies for our crewmen and he may be able to help you with his time aboard, as you could help him with the time after. Also if you have any of his effects from his time aboard ship and are willing to donate them we would love to add them to the collection!

I love this old "battlewagon", my favorite warship.

@education department: I would be interested in learning more about USS Alabama's role in WWII, particularly how she participated in fleet operations, and how her role compared and interacted with the Iowas. I hope to get a chance to visit again soon!

Please see our video "Legacy of a Titan" to learn more about Alabama. There is an upcoming video comparing the South Dakotas and the Iowas.

@editor: large black spaces between the primary video content (which is nice) and what I assume are outtakes.

I know this video is over a year old.
Is it possible to make edits/remake this video and upload the edited video in it's place versus having to make a new upload to the channel?
If the footage could have a better flow with EMC3 C.J. Haury by combining the locations where he was speaking, which are currently separated, e.g. all the video footage in the loading room put together and video footage on the deck put together and removing the director's audible instruction portions.
This would of course remove the current lengthy gaps.
Thank you for considering the possibility.
