Making flowers is one of my favorite things to do! It's amazing how you can get so many different kinds of flowers, by simply, using just one die set! The grand finale on the last one, where you added the stamens, made me think of zinnias...one of my favs! And I'm getting ready to plant zinnia seeds today!!

Carol, thank you so much for this tutorial! I am new to making these paper flowers and I am just in love! I've been making them out of pink white and blue shimmer paper from Hobby lobby and I can't get over how real they look! Just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the time you take to make tutorials. Thank you!
PS… I've actually bought that die set three times now because when I go to cut them I want to be able to cut more than just the one set! lol

Thats very smart and the way to do it especially when you are making so many at one time. It's very tedious cutting them out. I've done that with the Spellbinders Poinsettia die....good thinking!!! Hugs and Blessings, Carol

While I've been creating all my own flowers for many years, I am very appreciative of this video. Wonderful content and instruction for anyone interested in making flowers! I enjoy seeing process videos because there is always something new to learn. I really paid close attention to the numbers and sizes of petal layers. I'm giggling about using Prills...I have to wrangle mine inside a tray because they always succeed at escaping everywhere!! I always water mist the backs of my petal layers prior to shaping, then use a heat source to dry them...shape really holds and the paper dries stiff. Your technique allows for easier shaping as the flower is being glued together (because the petals are softer)...there are definite advantages to both textures. I must have a heavy hand using hot glue...I had to buy a detail tip with a smaller hole. Those roses are beautiful!! I use a thin wire to pull the center of the stamens thru the enlarged hole...like using a needle threader...works every time. This is such a valuable video tutorial! THANK YOU!!! Props to all who create our own flowers!!

My goodness I tried tonight to do one and I blew it three times so I gave up....forget it. I have a lot of patience but it knocked my socks off tonight....lol I take things to heart and try to keep in frame and the camera just right but sometimes it's hard. Hi Carol...you are a rock star!!!!! I got this die and have yet to play with it but now you make me want to. You make some of the prettiest flowers. I'm taking a trip this weekend and this may be the perfect thing to carry along. I am still trying to catch up with videos since my trip. Thanks for always being so generous and share how twos with us. By the way....the cabbage rose is my favorite kinda rose! And I think the closest to peach for the TH inks is saltwater taffy but I don't have it so I am not 100% sure.

Love your tutorial Carol. Just ordered the dies from Erica. Ranger has a peachy distress ink called saltwater taffy. I think its the newest one they came out with. Thanks for sharing. Hugs!
