This is amazing❤️ my husband is 98% deaf in both ears and even with hearing aids (that weren’t working correctly) he couldn’t understand our two older kids well and we were pregnant with our third. A couple family friends of ours found out he needed new hearing aids but we couldn’t afford them (they’re $6,000 and insurance doesn’t cover any of it). They raised $6,000 to fully pay for his new hearing aids just in time for our third child to be born. He can now hear all three of our kids and understand them❤️❤️

This is heartwarming, but also a bit sad. I live in a Sweden where someone like this woman would have gotten a hearing aid paid by the state. I had a tumor on my facial nerve and the doctors unfortunately had to go through my inner ear to reach the tumor. I’m completely deaf on my left side, because I now completely lack an inner ear on that side. I have a 4000$ hearing aid attached to a titanium screw in my skull, and that gives me almost normal hearing on my left side. It makes a huge difference in my social and work life. I now unfortunately have a new tumor in my skull that needs to be removed, and even though it’s probably benign it’s still just as deadly as the last one. In many other parts of the world I would be destitute or dead by now. Since I live in Sweden, I get to keep on living, working and helping others. I’m very happy to live and pay taxes in a socialist country*. Thank you for this heartwarming story! I wish you all the best. * Correction: Sweden is a social state, not a socialist country.

Wow I feel for Sarah a lot my name is Joshua and I have a similar story. When I was young around 2nd grade I started to fall behind in school and they didn’t know why. Immediately assuming it was dyslexia or ADHD they started giving my drugs to help me focus in school but after changing the drugs several times nothing ever worked. I’m 5th grade my math teacher who was a nurse before he became a teacher told them he thought I was deaf. They gave me a hearing test at school and sure enough the nurse found some interesting information. I was then sent to Baylor to best tested in some kind of black box studio for hearing loss. They found out I was around 80% deaf in my right ear. After the examination my doctors found out that it was caused by nerve damage and could not be repaired. My tonsils were so infected they had to do an emergency tonsillectomy because they were scared this would destroy my other ear like the first one. I was placed into special education due to this and have never really been given a good opportunity to be educationally gifted. This doesn’t make college any easier because I didn’t take the same courses in high school most kids did but I’m trying my best. If anyone wonders what it sounds like to be this deaf in one or both ear. Atleast for me it sounds like talking to someone while being under water at all times. You hear mumbles but really can’t make anything out of it most times and just say what repeatedly trying to form meaning into what they said.
Publicxclan wow man I don’t have anything like being deaf but I have about the worst case of adhd you could have and growing up I went all the way to 4th grade without any help. Then I finally got help in 5th grade but I was always given the wrong dosage of medication do to a doctor that sucked. All through middle school my teachers would yell at me for not doing good enough and saying that I wasn’t tryin. But that wasn’t the case, I tried my best but no matter what I couldn’t do good enough so I just gave up from about half way through 6th grade finally my freshman year came and I started falling behind even further and I just couldn’t keep up then I got in to sophomore year and after the first trimester I got a tutor to help me and she said I needed to go to a psychologist. So my parents wanting to help me in anyway they could took me and we figured I was miss diagnosed with add when I was little and that’s when I learned that I had the worst case of adhd they psychologist of 20+ years had ever seen. I had a learning disability with numbers and I was very far behind in a lot of other areas. My psychologist reached out to the school and said if I don’t get the accommodations I needed the school would be sued. I am now a senior and I will be graduating on time which is a miracle.

I’m deaf only in my right ear as well and I totally understand what Sarah is going through. It’s nice to know that I’m not alone in the wold. This video really made me smile and I think this was amazing that so many people helped raise money to her get a hearing aid.
At the very beginning of all this you should have blocked the left ear with something and whispered in her right ear before the hearing aid and said "Will u marry me" And then assuming she didn't hear u she would say "What did u say" And then you could say "Ill tell u when u have your hearing aid" Fast forward to the end she puts the hearing aid in he reminds her of when he whispered in her ear she remembers he gets close to her right ear and whispers "Make me a sandwich" And there u have it most romantic thing in the history of romance😂
My son is blind in one eye because his optic nerve was undeveloped. He's 9 months old and doing very well just like any other kid. He will never be able to see out of that eye. I'm glad she was able to hear!

I had a tumor on my facial nerve and the doctors unfortunately had to go through my inner ear to reach the tumor. I’m completely deaf on my left side, because I now completely lack an inner ear on that side. I have a 4000$ hearing aid attached to a titanium screw in my skull, and that gives me almost normal hearing on my left side. It makes a huge difference in my social and work life. I now unfortunately have a new tumor in my skull that needs to be removed, and even though it’s probably benign it’s still just as deadly as the last one. In many other parts of the world I would be destitute or dead by now. Since I live in Sweden, I get to keep on living, working and helping others. I’m very happy to live and pay taxes in a socialist country*. Thank you for this heartwarming story! I wish you all the best.

Wow I feel for Sarah a lot my name is Joshua and I have a similar story. When I was young around 2nd grade I started to fall behind in school and they didn’t know why. Immediately assuming it was dyslexia or ADHD they started giving my drugs to help me focus in school but after changing the drugs several times nothing ever worked. I’m 5th grade my math teacher who was a nurse before he became a teacher told them he thought I was deaf. They gave me a hearing test at school and sure enough the nurse found some interesting information. I was then sent to Baylor to best tested in some kind of black box studio for hearing loss. They found out I was around 80% deaf in my right ear. After the examination my doctors found out that it was caused by nerve damage and could not be repaired. My tonsils were so infected they had to do an emergency tonsillectomy because they were scared this would destroy my other ear like the first one. I was placed into special education due to this and have never really been given a good opportunity to be educationally gifted. This doesn’t make college any easier because I didn’t take the same courses in high school most kids did but I’m trying my best. If anyone wonders what it sounds like to be this deaf in one or both ear. Atleast for me it sounds like talking to someone while being under water at all times. You hear mumbles but really can’t make anything out of it most times and just say what repeatedly trying to form meaning into what they said.
Publicxclan wow man I don’t have anything like being deaf but I have about the worst case of adhd you could have and growing up I went all the way to 4th grade without any help. Then I finally got help in 5th grade but I was always given the wrong dosage of medication do to a doctor that sucked. All through middle school my teachers would yell at me for not doing good enough and saying that I wasn’t tryin. But that wasn’t the case, I tried my best but no matter what I couldn’t do good enough so I just gave up from about half way through 6th grade finally my freshman year came and I started falling behind even further and I just couldn’t keep up then I got in to sophomore year and after the first trimester I got a tutor to help me and she said I needed to go to a psychologist. So my parents wanting to help me in anyway they could took me and we figured I was miss diagnosed with add when I was little and that’s when I learned that I had the worst case of adhd they psychologist of 20+ years had ever seen. I had a learning disability with numbers and I was very far behind in a lot of other areas. My psychologist reached out to the school and said if I don’t get the accommodations I needed the school would be sued. I am now a senior and I will be graduating on time which is a miracle.

I can relate to this in a way. My boyfriend is deaf in his left ear and I really hope someday he’ll be able to get a hearing aid so he’ll be able to hear on both sides. At the very beginning of all this you should have blocked the left ear with something and whispered in her right ear before the hearing aid and said
"Will u marry me"
And then assuming she didn't hear u she would say
"What did u say"
And then you could say
"Ill tell u when u have your hearing aid"
Fast forward to the end she puts the hearing aid in he reminds her of when he whispered in her ear she remembers he gets close to her right ear and whispers
