Pine Marten Adventure

The semi nocturnal Pine Marten is now becoming very active in the daylight hours exploring her territory on the woodland looking for food as the cold winter months set in. The trail camera footage shows her climbing trees, finding snacks at the feeding station, sniffing and marking her territory. She finally heads off and although no footage captured after she leaves the woodland, she did turn up in the garden and helped herself to the nuts from the squirrel feeder.

This woodland is the stomping ground not only for the pine marten, but for many other wild animals including red squirrels, badgers, foxes, deer, mice, owls, sparrow hawks, buzzards, Jays and woodpeckers to name a few.
