  • The pine marten who we rarely see in daylight turns up for breakfast at the forest garden feeding station. She's listening to the alarm calls of the birds and can't seem to make up her mind whether to stay for breakfast or leave. The crow calls are generally a sign of a raptor close which they always chase off to protect their territory. The video footage is captured on a trail camera set up in the camera.
The forest garden is host to a lot of fantastic wildlife. Daily visitors include many pine martens, badgers, foxes, mice and bats, with occasional visits from deer and weasels along with many and varied bird species including owls, buzzards, sparrowhawks, Jays, woodpecker and many small garden birds, wild ducks and occasionally a heron pops in. There are lots of varied wildlife videos on the channel to choose from. Like and subscribe to stay up to date with nature in the garden and beyond.
    Thanks for watching.

To see a pine marten is to glimpse the soul of the forest, wild and free.
