Im getting ready to make New Look 6771. Thank you for the tip on the pants having too much ease. Sounds Like I can size down on those. I'm glad you recommend it.
Nice makes, Chilisa. Ankara is like Lays Potato Chips (or is it Ruffles?) Nobody can have just one. 🤣🤣
Great selections!
Love the fabric choices. Especially the last one (teal & green)!
Blessings for now & the new year
Thank you
Love your makes! The fabric is gorgeous, too! I love the colors, especially the bluish-purple flower one you started with, and the black one that looks like fire. I’m very excited to see what you make them into!
Thank you
Nice haul

Great video and Congrats on 1k Chilisa
Thank you
I bought New Look 6771 because I liked the collar. However I had a horrible time trying to make the collar work. I ended up abandoning that and just made a regular banded neck.
The first top I made was too big so I made it again in the next size smaller. Then it was way too small, clinging to my tummy. Fortunately I had enough fabric so I took the center panel out and cut a new one that flared out. (I don't put the band on the bottom.)
I also ended up cutting the sleeve one size smaller than the torso. I usually avoid set-in sleeves because I have a hard time fiddling with them to make them fit. Cutting the sleeve a size smaller than did the trick. I use four-way stretch material so it doesn't need the excess anyhow.
I modified where the side panels hit and I lengthened the hem so it covers my crotch. Essentially I've completely modified almost everything about the pattern but I have now made several of these and I think it's my new favorite top!!
xXX👍👍👍
Hi. I have a question about New Look 6771. The back has a center seam on it, and I was wondering if you could just cut that piece on the fold. Thank you for the reviews they are very helpful. Have a nice day.
I have made this top several times. I would recommend keeping the seam in the back because I have found that it tapers in nicely and from the side view looks better than my other tops that don't have a seam in the back.
