He had his hands ON a gun.
Facts! That guy was crazy strong, too! I wonder if he wasn't on something or if it was pure adrenaline.
This is why my weak ass is second-guessing becoming a cop. You have to actually fight people. You can’t shoot a noncompliant person immediately obviously, but if you do nothing, then they might overpower you or at least you let a dangerous person get away. Theres many levels of force in policing that involve hand to hand combat.
@@Sean_Regan I would think you would need to start training. Weight training, cardio for endurance, BJJ and kick boxing.
i did Boxing back when I was a teenager and jujitsu. I can fight I’m just not very big or strong and you get to a certain age I’m 30 with some medical history already and it becomes harder to get in shape and put on muscle. If you’re young and you want to become a cop, be really disciplined because life doesn’t get easier and you start running out of second chances.

This video only showed the cop mag dumped his piston into the cruiser without a clear line of the perp or their partner. At this point I would be moving to the right as the crusier door was ajar and it would provide visual contact in which you could end the perp with 1-2 rounds.
Being a proficent shot does not excuse poor tactics.
THE PIG IS A MURDERER.... HE DIDN'T HAVE TO KILL THE GUY...FUKIN PERIOD....🐷SS
@@Devin-O I am a trained marksman as well, and it seems I (and the cop here) are more trained than you, or more proficient. I was top of my group at all but one of my 12 years in LE, and the facts of the matter regarding this shooting are this- nobody else was hit, the perp was hit, and the threat was stopped. COULD the shooting cop have done something different, OF COURSE- he COULD have went into McD, got the perp a milkshake, and came and asked him nicely to stop, he COULD have gotten closer to the car and then shot, he COULD have gotten right behind perp's ear and then shot. What you cannot seem to understand because of your flawed thinking is that each and every one of those things require TIME and in that TIME the cop in the cruiser could have been KILLED by the perp. What the shooting cop KNEW was that the perp either was TRYING to get or HAD gotten the other cop's gun. In other words, he didn't have TIME to be a sissy like YOU, he had to take a chance and was proficient enough (unlike you it seems) to make that chance work because it DID work duh. Next question?

This is why every officer needs to learn Gracie Jiu-jitsu. Or at least the Gracie combative program. Hell, any “grapple” based martial art. As a blue belt in Gracie, I believe it is the most effective in terms of true self defense because they literally cover every inch of any CQB situation, and how to reverse any joint lock, choke hold, etc. It’s so intricate, every technique has 3-4 different variations for different situations, it truly is an art. I’ve trained 7 different styles since I was 6 years old, and out of TKD, boxing, judo, Muay Thai, Krav maga, kickboxing, and Japanese Jiujitsu. Gracie Jiujitsu is hands down the most effective. Krav Maga is extremely deadly and very effective but it doesn’t cover nearly as much as GJJ does. 🤘
That officer needs to learn when to knee a guy in the nuts!
Most police officers do have some jiu-jitsu or judo training, but first priority when a suspect is going for your gun is don't let him have it. Firearms retention is the number 1 priority. He called for backup and did what he had to do to make sure the suspect didn't get his gun. The only training in this incident that matters is your firearms retention training, you have to have an understanding of how a retention holster works, there are different variants and the retention technique is to keep the gun in the holster, and keep the suspect from being able to get the gun. It is very difficult to remove from the front and the officer knew that so he kept himself in close and kept control of the firearm. There was no joint lock, hold etc to reverse here, the technique the officer used was the best option and it worked, the gun was not taken from him and the threat was dealt with by backup officers, the priority was to keep the gun out of the fight long enough to either tire the suspect out or get assistance. The officers was basically fighting with one arm with no distance between him and the suspect and most likely his dominate hand was protecting the firearm. He was able to call for back up and not panic and lose the gun. He kept talking and breathing and survived the incident. It is extremely exhausting to fight someone like that at 100% for any length of time. The winner is the one who last the longest or in this case long enough to get help. Having had to fight with a suspect who tried to get my gun of the holster I can tell you its scary, but when its happening its training and thinking calmly, you hold onto that retention with all you have and then work out what to do, in this case only the officer knew what he was doing. Looking at it, he was able to get in the vehicle on the bottom securing his weapon even more by laying on it and trapping the suspects arm. He knew back up was on the way and maintained control of the firearm and the suspect at the same time. The surprise to me was that the suspect was not punching him in the head. I had backup with me and the incident lasted only a few seconds, I was fortunate to be able to trap the suspects hand and my back up was able to get control of the suspect with a couple pain compliance techniques.
Holy crap that is scary. Even just imagining being a bystander is scary.

@Philomaeus Where is the demonstrative evidence? ? Show us, because I find it quite odd that you would accuse me of looking the other way from evidence when you don't even know if I DID look away from something. Have you even SEEN me look away from something? ? If so, NAME what I looked away from, because I don't ever recall ever meeting you, & if I never met you, how could you KNOW what I have, & haven't seen? ? That's a burden of proof that applies to you before you can accuse someone of something. One would actually argue that YOU are acting like a child by utilizing ad hominems against people, rather than providing the evidence to properly refute something like a mature human being. Since when do mature adults use derogatory name calling to make an argument, hm? ?
...but for the the sake of argument, I would like you to show me this evidence, because if we had demonstrative evidence, then it would be openly available to provide to the public wouldn't it? ? You said there is countless evidence. So, why haven't you included the source of this evidence within your prior comment? ? Simply SAYING there is evidence & not actually PROVIDING it would appear to be more of a mistake on YOUR part. I want to see it. Show me,... because that last time anyone checked, all we really have are scriptures & some archeological proof that CERTAIN people that ALSO claimed that a God exists were indeed real people back then, but scriptures are just words on a piece of paper aren't they? ? So, that's not really evidence,.. & people that indeed DID exist SAYING that a God exists, isn't really evidence either, because words alone isn't evidence. So please, I would REALLY like to see this evidence that you claim is apparently providable.
Imagine being so much of a borderline personality that you gaslight a cop in the midst of assaulting him.
I was really wondering if this might be similar to those situations not too long ago with the rental fraudulent reporting, so I did some digging. Nope. Guy had a record of fraud, money laundering, assault on an officer AND attempting to escape from jail. Here he used someone else's ID to rent the U Haul which was why it was reported stolen. Bad decisions sometimes lead to a custom fitted forever box.

ANPR. Automatic number plate recognition.
Calling it a 4th amendment violation is laughable, basically the guy is parading his crime around for everyone to see.
What bothers me, is why is no one coming to the officers aide? When clearly he is struggling for his life, against someone far larger than him. I know there is some grey area there, especially when backup officers show up and they wouldn't know who the bad guy is. But c'mon, someone should have jumped in and given him back up.

We had an officer kidnapping in Mt. Juliet, TN, a few months back. Our officer shot the suspect while being dragged and then proceeded to try to save the suspects life. Body cam footage is insane. Donut should totally do a video on it.
Was it where the passenger jumped into the driver's seat and the officer jumped in to try to stop him? I looked it up after reading your comment. Damn.. that officer was so kind during that stop and felt so badly he had to shoot that man. That's sad all around.

The fact that no one in that gas station cared and just drove off is crazy to me like how do you just go on about your day while someone is fighting for their life
I think people were just trying to get out of the way so they didn't get hurt. I mean, what do you do in a situation like this? How could you possibly help? I know that I could never take on a guy like that, and if you have a gun you sure as hell don't want to accidentally shoot a cop.
And you know if if he was a girl, they would’ve all jumped in
Bystander syndrome is a real thing. Most people just don't want to get involved.
@@sarahdennis6450 while I can respect that some people may not want to get hurt which is perfectly understandable. Personally I would of stepped in and help get the guy on the ground. Size doesn't matter to much if you can get enough people to step in and restrain him, that is what I would do.
Democratically run cities have spewed hateful rhetoric about police so they were probably thinking the cop was getting what he deserved. Gods know how much I hate the lunatic left.
"He was a fantastic bullet sponge" 💀 bruh, man got violated even after getting shot like 15 times

Fr and the cop was the sweetest guy ever, was saying “let go of my gun you aren’t in trouble” while he was trying to snatch it, He didn’t even expect a fight or anything; probably wouldn’t have even ticketed the guy.

Glad the cop made it out alright. That is terrifying. The pucker factor was severe.
@DontLookToMyProfiIePicture forgot to take your medicine again?
I remember when I first saw the footage. I always read the description before starting videos so that I know the context to look out for. I could not believe that I had read about the officer not being shot after seeing that gunfire.
Honestly reminds me of the footage of the naked crazy dude that managed to get a single shot off on an officer inside of a hotel before wrestling with the officer on the ground before getting taken out by the officer's partners.
@DontLookToMyProfiIePicturesorry, me no speako stupido
This cop will never not carry a switchblade ever again.
The entire thing is a lesson in officer safety from start to finish. From approaching a stolen vehicle solo, to trying to argue and talk on the radio in the middle of going hands on, to leaving his unit unlocked, and finally the mag dump at the end from his buddies. Glad the officer survived, but a lot can be learned here.
Complacency and bad habits of dealing with compliant suspects. Just because you get away with it for years doesn't mean it won't bite you in the end.
Mag dump? I only heard 3 shots to the face. No need to mag dump if that's what your saying.
@@TherealmccrawSC I think he was referring to the mag dump from the 1st responding officer

In the truck rental world, not returning on time without making payment can result in the truck being reported “stolen”. This psycho just went from a civil dispute to all of the felonies, followed by a dirt nap 😂

harder to get jobs when you've got a record, even though the law says it shouldnt be. that's one reason lol
Jeff I'm not trying to be harsh or to pick a fight. 😉 But you asked, so I wanted to give an answer.
Some of them, its a life choice. That's how they'd prefer to live. Some of them really honestly haven't learned any other way. Some, are actually trying to straighten out, and do right, but the system has them so locked up (even tho they're walking free) that they have to resort to things they don't want to do. Sometimes the system has them so locked up that they figure if they're going to end up going back in, they might as well do whatever and make going back in worth their time.
TBH, I really, honestly think, that there's some of them that it's just a mistake to let them out. And that's from somebody who's had that shackle from the system.
