Your video just saved my fudge! I attempted my grandma's recipe yesterday without a candy thermometer and it never set! I googled it and learned that I didn't get the fudge hot enough. Today I reheated the fudge with some water and followed your steps with the cold water test, my fudge set! Amazing! Thank you for saving Christmas! I'll be referring to your video every year!
Excellent on my first attempt! Thank you. I had such a craving for old fashioned fudge like my mother and my neighbor used to make. My mother's recipe was tricky because she used a thermometer. I gave up on that one. Many years ago I found a recipe similar to yours without the peanut butter but must have gotten rid of it when I stopped baking. My mother gave up on her own recipe when she got older and started making the shortcut kind with marshmellow fluff and chocolate chips but I never liked it. I could never seem to buy fudge that was the old fashioned kind. Now I can make yours whenever i get a craving. By the way, I used the single recipe. I prefer not to make a thicker fudge. This was perfect in 8" pan.
Hi Jeni thank you so much for sharing this recipe I'm so looking forward to making it without a candy thermometer that's right up my alley thanks again and have a wonderful evening 👍
Jeni - I watch a lot of UA-cam videos and try a lot of recipes and I hardly ever leave a comment, but girl - that fudge was amazing! I could not stop eating it. My head tells me I should burn the recipe and never make it again, but I can't wait for an excuse to make it again! Lol.
my Grandmother’s recipe was exactly the same, and I make it every year 🥰 I have a daughter that’s vegan, and I make it for her using organic sugar, almond milk, and plant based margarine.
@@Barbaracoyle I don't. But heres how I do it, I put a dry rub on the ribs, put 1 cup of beer (water juice or broth), a few drops of liquid smoke and pressure cook on high 25 minutes. When they are done, remove carfully, add bbq sauce if you like, put them under your broiler for 5 minutes to crisp them up.
Oh no......you said you usually double the recipe. So on the video you used 2 cups sugar but on the doubled printed recipe you call for 3 cups sugar. That’s not doubled. I’m confused.

Great video. My first time making fudge. I messed up and it's really granulated. I'll work on it though.
Thank you for your vlog. I printed the recipe. Yummy

You should! 😃 I gave you some last year!!
The music was perfect with the cutting of the fudge lol 😂
Thank You!
I'm going to try this with monk fruit sugar 🎉🎉🎉
Sounds great!
Jeni what is the reason for the peanut butter other than taste? I absolutely will try this one..thanks for sharing!
It's good!
I never thought of using clips to hold the parchment paper in place! I will be doing that next time.
Glad it was helpful! 😃
Yummy
😋
Have you ever cooked a ham or scab of pork ribs in the instant pot
Yes! They turn out great! 😃
Do you have a recipe over on your blog

It is 2 cups! Thank you for catching that!! 😃
So if you made a single recipe on the video and used 2 cups....wouldn’t the doubled recipe be 4 cups sugar?
