Hello, new member here / Frederic . Very interesting vid, I hope after seeing it, nobody will try to break a record in that position. If I understand correctly, DEVON L thinks there is no need for side pressure, but this side movement comes naturally when u move your body ( listen to his seminar in Australia ) . Hope really that stupid challenges will stop. What PRO champions do , is not to be copied by newcomers.
Thanks for the info guys. I'm 45 and always liked arm wrestling. I want to train just to train my arm nothing serious. Years ago I tore my pectoralis major and never fixed it. How important is your chest muscle in arm wrestling? I know Michael Todd tore his pec and never fixed it.
I didn’t hear about Michael Todd’s pec tear..? Does he have a video talking about it? Pecs are definitely important in arm wrestling, especially for pullers who like to press and bang to the side. Your torn pec doesn’t affect you?
The most amazing thing with this Arm Break PR lift is the idea of hand outside the shoulder. In order for me personally to get my hand outside my shoulder I have to actively relax my triceps, chest and lat, the muscles that you actually want to use when applying side pressure.
A completely out-of-context question considering the video. Do you find TENS and/or EMS units playing any role in armwrestling pain or injury recovery?
Yes with his shoulder, and chest engaged and taking some of the load. I never see Todd start a side pressure PR outside of his shoulder. Yet that is one of the rules to this arm PR challenge.
He dose, but always through the hand with the limiting factor being his hand or wrist for the most part, and he always starts square to the table in the starting position. And the majority of his training is volume work, not max effort.
There is safe ways to train side pressure Janis and coach ray have many videos on side pressure and it is MUCH safer than this way. And they train it very heavy as well. These ugly positions are for armwrestling where you actually gain something THE WIN! Training in these ugly positions is just asking for injures and I lost a little respect for Ryan and uncle Jon for doing this. Showing the lift and saying not do this is such a fake disclaimer just to keep them protected from getting sued.
4:20 If you laughed 😂😅then you’re a messed up as I am. Yet that said maybe they should eat more meat and stop treating cows as sacred while they all starve to death. 😅😂😅 Maybe lift more weights before you try something stupid as they did. 😂😅😂😅
Looks like your healing up good💪

Some people find them very helpful
I'm working on a case study for the best way to train side pressure. (Still in progress)
If I had to bet it is going sideways?
Maybe it's just me but I know for a fact regardless of how light it is this will just aggravate my elbow an tendons through my forearm
Well don't do it, what can help someone can hurt someone else
@@lucasala9625 hmm that's one way to look at it
Doesn't Todd Hutchings train Max effort side pressure?
