    Dr. Eric Hartman serves as Executive Director of the Haverford College Center for Peace and Global Citizenship in the United States, Vice President for Higher Education Outreach for the Pennsylvania Council for International Education, and Co-director of the Community-based Global Learning Collaborative.
    He is the lead author of the book "Community-based global learning: The theory and practice of ethical engagement at home and abroad”. It is one among several academic papers he has written to enhance understanding of experiential, civic, and global learning, including their interaction with community-driven development, outputs, and outcomes.
    Contributions include interrogating foundational democratic commitments in The Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning, exploring universal rights, community engagement, and leadership development in The Journal of Leadership Studies and arguing that global thinking is essential for civic education in The Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement.
