Pip Master Yeah the bass is a bit louder i put this track together as a composite of different sources so its not perfect but close enough to play along too. And what drummer doesnt like a loudish bass ae :)
81metalhammer Yeah, it sounds very different with Steve cranked up all the way. I think the earlier Maiden recordings lack a good punchy bass. Also the mids of the guitars are cranked up, creating this giant wall of typical Maiden sound; Epic, but to my taste it lacks *punch* ;-)
+Pip Master This is definitely not the final mix. And obviously, it hadn't been mastered yet, that's why you hear a somewhat muddier sound than you're used to. Mastering adds depth, punch and clarity. When captured in studio, this is what guitars, drum and bass sound like, straight to the microphone. also, I only hear Adrian's guitar, not Dave's.
There are so many factors and variables that define the way a master recording sounds..it is therefore impossible to say 'that's what a master recording sounds like'. Seems like an enormous stretch to me.. Also the guy that mixed this says he used various sources to remix this track, so I really doubt that all of these sources would be the actual Iron Maiden master.. could be me though ;-)
+marcel braga This is not a final true mix of maiden master tracks.... they don't exist as an open source for public use. This is a composite of different sources put together to make a track that drummers can play along to... that is all.... it doesn't need to be anything else. I'm not a sound engineer i did this for myself and decided to share.
Those videos are a great teaching - learning instrument. Thanx. A lot.
Merci pour toutes tes vidéos !
thanks for posting this maiden jam....
Thanks ! I'm going to have some fun with this
awesome!!
Not only drums is missing...
Bass is amplified as well.. Am I wrong? Somehow the bass is much louder here than the guitars..
