When I discovered Maiden, their music was like a secret passage into another world !! Along with the other great bands that were in the spotlight at the time, it really was The Golden Years. Rock On Everyone !!
"Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years" Powerful words that prove that metal music can have a message and still kick ass!! Thank you Bruce Dickinson.
I don't mean to take away from your point, because it is solid, but I always thought that was the point of metal to begin with. Powerful messages and kickass music, that's what it's all about, right?
My dad passed away this week and this was his favorite song ever. Thanks dad for showing me some good music... I'll do the same with my kids in the future.
The older I get, the more I like this song. Both the music and the lyrics are truly extraordinary and will remain for posterity, far beyond the realm of heavy metal. It's truly a masterpiece by Adrian Smith. And let's admit it, that intro riff immediately sends shivers down your spine.
A beautiful song with a powerfull message. You can’t live in the past because you can’t go back and change it and you also cant’t live in the future because future is not certain. You have to remind yourself how you want to be remembered when you are gone and make it happen right now (not tomorrow)!
We all wish we could change our pasts... but we're part of our pasts... and whether we know it or not, some of those parts will be considered great and worthy of envy by the next generation... so enjoy it, rather than looking forward or back.
I wish everyone didn't let these corrupt politicians get away with so much dogshit to bring us here. Its impossible after a certain point to achieve success.
This song (and entire album) is Adrian Smith’s masterpiece. The amount of emotion put into that guitar solo brings a tear to my eye. Brilliant guitarist.
Indeed ! Awesome song, sound and work putted together. Love the guitar lines since the beginning to the end. (The whole instruments as well, cannot choose hahaha 😂🤣😅)
A couple of years ago I was in a bad place emotionally and flirting with depression, but listening to this song helped me get myself back on my feet and start looking ahead, instead of living in the past. I'm forever grateful for Iron Maiden.
I was a 8 years old kid when I was snooping around my dad's music shelf. I had no music preference whatsoever back then, so my attention was mainly focused on the covers. Then I found a Blade Runner-looking cover with some kind of futuristic zombie. Then I realized there were other records with the same zombie, but in different disguises. Impressed by the art, I decided to put the disk in to hear it. I loved every single track, especially this one. However, there was something that bugged me: I didn't know what the lyrics said. Why, I'm Spanish, and I didn't understand English. Nowadays is simple enough, but back then, my English classes were so basic that in the end, I didn't learn anything more than colours and numbers. My mother never learned English, and dad's English was none out of this world. Without internet and the like, learning it was even more difficult. Needless to say an English Academy was really expensive back in the day. So I picked a dictionary and the album's booklet, and tried to figure out what the hell did they sing. It was really frustrating, because I felt that I wasn't making any progress at all. Even with the key words, I didn't understand. English's grammar is way different from Spanish's, so everything was just like a malicious puzzle. But I was stubborn enough to keep trying. Even if I didn't understand much, my vocabulary increased significantly. So did my listening. I was actually learning English by myself. Just to understand the lyrics. I didn't have any other goal. Then... BANG! internet came. With the basis I had already learned, everything went so easy... Full translations, videos, movies, dictionaries of all kind, free grammar lessons, slang, archaisms... I did it. Now I can understand every song, meet incredible people whom I'd never known by just speaking my mother language. Use it for working, free time, learning about other stuff... And it all began thanks to them. Iron Maiden just taught me English. They opened an entire new world before me. My, those weren't wasted years...
From the coast of gold, across the seven seas Travelin' on, far and wide But now it seems I'm just a stranger to myself And all the things I sometimes do, it isn't me but someone else I close my eyes and I think of home Another city goes by in the night Ain't it funny how it is? You never miss it til' it's gone away And my heart is lying there, will be 'til my dying day, Adrian! So understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up, make your stand Realize you're living in the golden years Too much time on my hands, I got you on my mind Can't ease this pain so easily When you can't find the words to say, hard to make it through another day And it makes me wanna cry, throw my hands up to the sky So understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up, make your stand Realize you're living in the golden years, hey! So understand, Adrian! Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up, make your stand Realize you're living in the golden years So understand Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years Face up, make your stand Realize you're living in the golden years, hey!
This song is motivating. Do not lose heart. Lately, I've really become different, a stranger to myself Guys, we will never be better and younger than now.
Thank you Nicko for the wonderful 42 years in the Iron Maiden band and my 24 years, because I have been a fan of Iron Maiden for so many years, the best time of my youth for me, no one will replace you
I have followed Iron Maiden all my life since I was 16, I'm 56 now and I cannot ever remember a band such like Iron Maiden that has not only touched my heart with their lyrics but has done so much for charities. This song will be played at my funeral.
Always liked metal but I really got into it when I was 14 and my dad and I went to a maiden concert. I’m 18 now and iron maiden is my favourite band most likely will always be
@@Shadow.behind.mountains "My dad and I went to a maiden concert". Gtfoh, you coddled little child. That's the complete opposite of what the metal culture is about. Hahahaha 😄
@@butter5144 Not to us but in the world of guitarist he is a little. I mean all around guitar. In the world of metal and rock, hes worshipped as a God.
This song gave me support to get out of a great depression, I thought I was going to die but it made me understand that you should always move on and not waste time in the past and live for yourself
“The ones who don’t make it to heaven did not realize I am the love of their life and they are the love of mine.” -Jesus “In the places you have looked for me, you won’t find me.” His love for us individually: Psalms 139: 17How amazing are your thoughts concerning me, God! How vast is the sum of them! 18Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand on the sea- He has an appointment with us every morning: Job 7 17“What is mankind that you make so much of them, that you give them so much attention, 18that you examine them every morning and test them every moment? Jesus created us, we are his Masterpiece: Colossians 1 The Supremacy of the Son of God 15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together. I was surprised he knew me individually: Psalms 139 13For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. Acts 17 26From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28‘For in him we live and move and have our being. The Bible says God hands us our every breath. As long as we are alive, he is longing for us to turn back to him, we are his child, the joy of his life. He is the Embodiment of Love. He has one need and that is to love. Our reason for being. Our sole purpose in life is to find him. To remember him. He is the love of our life and we are the love of his. He gives us infinite chances to come back to him in this life because he unconditionally loves us, way beyond even the love our parents feel for us. Take the bate he gives you. Do not reject him. Try him. “He is wooing you from the jaws of distress (demons, hell, eternal horror and fear, separation from God and his attributes) into a spacious place, free of restriction.” “When you’ve tried everything else, try me.” -God He is not against anyone of us: Ezekiel 18 21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? Joel 2 Return to the Lord your God, for he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and he relents from sending calamity. 14Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing. Isaiah 30:18 Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion… How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you. Psalms 139 4Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely. A month ago, Jesus gave me the most precious gift I could ever ask for. It was a vision of himself watching me with his loving eyes on me. He looked over at me from where he was sitting in a chair with the most loving caring smile, like he had always been watching me…even before I came to know him. Even more than fatherly, it was a motherly kind of love, not as if to say “what are you doing today?” but “how are you doing?” He really cared about me like my own mother would, I was surprised to see that kind of love. I knew immediately that’s how he watched everyone, with the care of both a father and a mother. He smiled and without moving his mouth, I heard him say “I will never leave you.” A few days later, I had two repeated dreams of that vision, and I heard this verse immediately after it both times: Psalms 32 8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you. Jesus wants to pour out his heart to us: Proverbs 1 23If you had repented at my rebuke, then surely I would have poured out my thoughts to you; I would have made my teachings known to you. Psalms 25 14The Lord confides in those who fear him. Amos 4 He reveals his thoughts to mankind. Jeremiah 33:3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Isaiah 45 I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me, if I could not be found. Jeremiah 29 11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14I will be found by you,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 10:23 23Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own; it is not for them to direct their steps. Psalms 37 4Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this. Matthew 6:8 Your Father knows what you need before you ask him. These verses really helped me move my fear/respect/need for attention away from humans and over to God: Isaiah 2 22Stop trusting in mere humans, who have but a breath in their nostrils. Why hold them in esteem? Mathew 10 28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. 10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Proverbs 8 13To fear the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil behavior and perverse speech. psalms 86 5You, Lord, are forgiving and good, abounding in love to all who call to you. Jeremiah 33:9 They will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide. 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Psalms 53 2God looks down from heaven on all mankind to see if there are any who understand, any who seek God. 1 Chronicles 28 Acknowledge the God of your fathers, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever. 10Consider now, for the Lord has chosen you! When we sin, we partner with demons. When we’ve given into them and been a slave to them in this life, they own us for eternity. In eternity, we are on their turf in their kingdom-outside of God’s protection. They hate us. Torture is their game. Torture did not originate with man, but demons. Do not partner with the demon of lust, demon of anger, demon of addiction…etc. These are not just innocent temptations we all have; anyone who has had sleep paralysis has briefly met the demon/s that will own them forever. God uses dreams to warn us: Job 33 14For God does speak-now one way, now another-though no one perceives it. 15In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, 16he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, 17to turn them from wrongdoing and keep them from pride, 18to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword. ……..29“God does all these things to a person- twice, even three times- 30to turn them back from the pit, that the light of life may shine on them. James 4 7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you. It was so easy to see other’s faults but never my own. psalms 19 12But who can discern their own errors? We are always on his mind, he cares and thinks about us continually, as a Father cares about his child. Jeremiah 12:3 3Yet you know me, Lord; you see me and test my thoughts about you. If you want to know God, all you have to do is ask Him. Great days lie ahead! Much love, Amy

I'm a 43 year old guy from germany, grewing up with many styles of techno music that i really loved. Can anybody imagine how it is to discover ALL songs of Iron Maiden in my age for the very first time? It is unbelievable and just heavenly to listen to all theyr albums since i discovered this band in december 2022. Of course i knew this band from theyr name but... no band and no music in my whole life gave me this kind of powerful and emotional feelings. Tears, smiles, goosebumps, happyness and love for month now. I love Iron Maiden so much and it is the greatest gift i can imagine to discover all theyr music, all theyr fantastic songs. It is just pure life. Up the irons forever❤❤
I feel with you. Grew up with techno but realized earlier the magic of the Irons. 26th of Dec. in Fulda just enjoy a great coverband if you live not to far away.
Chills up and down my spine. Man, this song brings me back. 22 years old and in a concrete jungle full of darkness. Level IV Maximim security prison in California. It would take me 10 years to make it home. I look back now like it all was a dream. Rock and Roll got me through. No song was more powerful than this. The lyrics just resonated with a young man not Knowing if he will ever again see home. I would close my eyes and think of home. I would find a way to make it through another day. Thank you, Iron Maiden. Thank you, rock and roll.
I was sixteen when this got out in 1986 and the very first time I listened to this song, I said to myself that was the most beautiful music I had ever heard and from my favorite group on top : Iron Maiden. Fast forward now in 2021, I'm past my fifties now, still listening to this song like it was the first time and it makes me feel good. Up the Irons!
I was seventeen when this song got out. It wasn't until much later in life I learned about the band's history. A band that started in 1975 ... helped define metal and clawed their way to absolute superstardom in mid-late 80s. They've had many great songs before and after ... but, at the time they wrote this, I think it is their Magnum Opus.
Iron Maiden was prophetic on this song because if you got to grow up anytime in the 50's through the 90's with all the golden classic cars, movies, music & concerts from the best pop culture eras that will NEVER be repeated, YOU were very blessed!
I turned 50 today, still remember my first maiden concert when I was 14 in Zabrze Poland, this song always made me feel optimistic about the future. Thanks for all the great music guys.
We're the same age and when I was 15 I saw my 1st Maiden show too. That was in San Francisco. World Slavery Tour! Poland was where the entire tour began. Very impressive.

No matter what life brings me, no matter how depressed I get or broke down or heart broken, this song always and I mean ALWAYS makes me feel so much better and happier than ever. This song is like the best medicine you can take, especially blasting it really really loud riding down the road with the windows down by yourself is good for the soul, you feel like a million bucks. This is my fav band and god I love this song. Up the IRONS my blood brothers and sisters.
For god sakes Iron Maiden better be elected into the Hall of Fame rock and roll this year Bruce Dickerson on his own stop and think he flies the band around Europe and around the world on a 747 that he pilots on his merits alone deserves some sort of recognition these guys have withstood the sands of time and definitely deserve the recognition
Iron Maiden doesn't need the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. They have legions of fans worldwide after decades. The Rock N Roll Hall of Fame would be lucky to have them.
R&R HOF too busy inducting shitty gangsta rap thugs to earn PC social virtue signaling points to care about actual "Rock" music. As long as Run DMC and LL Cool J, etc are inducted that's all that matters to the clowns that run the clown show.
when i was a little 8yo boy my father wanted to take me to a maiden concert. i didn't want to go because of my "musical preference" at the time... now i'm 18 and i see that as the biggest missed oportunity of my life. whenever i think about it this song starts playing in my head. i hope i will get a chance to see them live.
There's got to be just more to it than this Or tell me why do we exist I'd like to think that when I die I'd get a chance another time And to return and live again Reincarnate, play the game Again and again and again.
Whenever I think too much about dumb past mistakes, I just listen to this song and all my worries go away. Thank you Adrian for these brilliant lyrics and thank you the rest of the band for just being great.
Death is a part of life ~ When my mom died, I cried so much I got dehydrated. My Dad died when I was 10 yrs old, it didn't really hit me until I was 13 yrs old. 👿 In my rebellious years. "L. I. F. E." (Living Isn't Fuckin' Easy)
My mom died 26/03/16 she was only 50 years old, every song from Iron Maiden make me crying that lost, but I know she is every where and memories never die 🙏🏻

I'm taking my 9 yr old son and I to see Maiden in Atlanta this weekend! I am so excited. Never seen them live. Waited my whole life to see them. Always had something going or was broke when they came to town before. Well, all the planets aligned this time for the opportunity to happen. Been a fan since i was 7 years old when Somewhere In Time came out. This was the song that hooked me! Shout out to my old babysitter who had the cassette and played it for me back then.
@@Tiski_jukka The show was fantastic! We really had a great time. Those guys really know how to put on a concert. They had such great energy. The stage show was incredible. And the setlist was great. I wished they played something from Somewhere In Time. But honestly I can't complain. The show was top notch.
This song is so true & it turns out that the 1970's & 80's really were the Golden Years. I wouldn't want to be a child growing up now. It must suck so bad. Could be that the 50's & 60's were better, but I wouldn't know, I hadn't been born yet.

Amazing song, and the text hits you hard when you're living every day with depression, wasting year after year looking back on how you could have done things differently. It's sad to think that many people will spend their lives thinking that rock and metal is music that has a bad influence on young people, without realizing that it is music that heals the mind and soul. The golden era is something unrepeatable, we have to preserve songs like this for eternity, so that future generations can discover what was true music many years from now, when only left commercial garbage.
Hey, i dont gotta wait for all the good music to have come along later on. Not like i was alive then. Got the good shit to search for and listen to now. Like this song. Some good shit iron maide made
Wased years! One, two, three- From the coast of gold, across the seven seas Travelin' on, far and wide But now it seems I'm just a stranger to myself And all the things I sometimes do, it isn't me but someone else I close my eyes and I think of home Another city goes by in the night Ain't it funny how it is?

My dad bought me this cassette in 1988 when I was 10 years old. I cant believe I'm still rocking out to it 33 years later. This is my favorite song off that album
My favorite Iron Maiden track. Ex-military - been to over 30 countries. Worn down, broke physically. This track hits me the deepest. Got to remind myself that I am in the Golden Years no matter how tired I am.
Has anyone noticed, at least the 40+ yr old among us, that these lyrics are so goddamn true and wise..and that a LOT of people come here for that exact reason? ..... :/
That's not just a great song, this piece of music is a THE composition. I absolutely love, how every instrument fullfils the space in song, how the artists use their layers on 💯 percent, like a true orchestra. And even a bass sounds intresting, and not just copies the guitars. Iron maiden, thank you.
@@polysteveshusbandandboyfri644 Alice In Chains and Pantera I think absolutely justify that statement. Still love this stuff, only just discovering IM and Megadeth in a way despite the "emo" and "goth" kids wearing their shirts all through high school. Turns out they knew their shit.
Jack Smiler-Brandenburg Dude I'm french, I understand a little bit of English when I read it, but when someone speaks, it's harder, but Bruce is singing, and screaming, with the drums and the guitar, it's very hard to get one word xD and I want to understand so this is frustrating :(
Very deep and introspective song. It's like looking back in your life, set to Maiden conveyance. Always loved the artwork and Eddie throughout the years, "wasted" ones too. As an artist, I love that kind of stuff. Years ago, when I worked in a tattoo shop, alot of Maiden graphics were requested. I also am a hot rod gearhead. Seen my share of Eddie graphics on insane cars on the drag strip. Eddie added an extra 150 horsepower on the green light..\m/..
3:03 Who is that kid behind the drum kit, sitting next to the speakers? Steve's daughter? She is definitely headbanging ! haha....I have been watching this video for 30 years and I just noticed the kid....lol

" Realize you're living in those golden years. "
The song really speaks to me lately, as I have grown older.
Right there with you on that!
When I discovered Maiden, their music was like a secret passage into another world !! Along with the other great bands that were in the spotlight at the time, it really was The Golden Years.
Rock On Everyone !!
It really relates to me too,I took a huge dump today
100% same! You never realize things until you are older.

Glad I was able to see you perform this year (first time I got to see Maiden). You were bloody magnificent m8
"Don't waste your time always searching for those wasted years" Powerful words that prove that metal music can have a message and still kick ass!! Thank you Bruce Dickinson.
"Realize your living in the gold in years"
It is a Adrian’s composition, he did the lyrics
@@elnanjo I am referring to the vocals of Bruce Dickinson.
I don't mean to take away from your point, because it is solid, but I always thought that was the point of metal to begin with. Powerful messages and kickass music, that's what it's all about, right?
When I listen to Maiden I listen to life
My dad passed away this week and this was his favorite song ever. Thanks dad for showing me some good music... I'll do the same with my kids in the future.
💜
Sorry for your loss!
sorry for your loss 🙏🏻
Sorry for your loss. And may your dad continue rocking on the other side. ♥
God bless you brother!
The older I get, the more I like this song. Both the music and the lyrics are truly extraordinary and will remain for posterity, far beyond the realm of heavy metal. It's truly a masterpiece by Adrian Smith. And let's admit it, that intro riff immediately sends shivers down your spine.
Off one of their greatest albums. The whole thing just jams.
I felt the same damn thing..running down my spine...
Credo sia la canzone che io abbia ascoltato più di qualsiasi altra

Bruce had a moment of silence, followed by a scream at the show in St. Paul, MN last night. It was EPIC

nope, maiden´s first singer was Paul Day.
Well said 🙏🤘
@@Smitty-hr2mgYou give me the 1980's over anything else. I was there I know.

Very good! That’s very inspiring, we all need to live our lives with those things in mind.
This song (and entire album) is Adrian Smith’s masterpiece. The amount of emotion put into that guitar solo brings a tear to my eye. Brilliant guitarist.
Amen!! My first concert ever in KCMO!
It's true 👍
Indeed ! Awesome song, sound and work putted together. Love the guitar lines since the beginning to the end. (The whole instruments as well, cannot choose hahaha 😂🤣😅)
Literally every album has a great song
It all comes together the last 3/4 after about 1000 takes at it literally true. A true masterpiece the boys worked hard on it for over 2 years.
That guitar solo has to be one of the best ever.
Definitely the best. No question.
I agree 1000000%!!!!
Listened to it four times over, it's very good.
This and Stranger In A Strange Land. Pure genius from an absolute legend
Mmmmm, miedo de dispararle a extraños???
A couple of years ago I was in a bad place emotionally and flirting with depression, but listening to this song helped me get myself back on my feet and start looking ahead, instead of living in the past. I'm forever grateful for Iron Maiden.
Yes!! Helped me out too, brother
Me ajudou, e ainda me ajuda. Força irmão
It took me through a rough patch in the 80ies, too! I.M. forever!
It's helping me now... I hope I get over this!
I love Iron Maiden and hopefully I can move on the way you did
I was a 8 years old kid when I was snooping around my dad's music shelf.

17How amazing are your thoughts concerning me, God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand on the sea-
He has an appointment with us every morning:

Colossians 1
The Supremacy of the Son of God
15The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
I was surprised he knew me individually:
Psalms 139
13For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Acts 17
26From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
Try him.
“He is wooing you from the jaws of distress (demons, hell, eternal horror and fear, separation from God and his attributes) into a spacious place, free of restriction.”

He is not against anyone of us:
Ezekiel 18
21“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. 22None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. 23Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?
Joel 2
Return to the Lord your God,
for he is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and abounding in love,
and he relents from sending calamity.
14Who knows? He may turn and relent
and leave behind a blessing.
Isaiah 30:18
Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion…
How gracious he will be when you cry for help! As soon as he hears, he will answer you.
Psalms 139
4Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
He smiled and without moving his mouth, I heard him say “I will never leave you.”
A few days later, I had two repeated dreams of that vision, and I heard this verse immediately after it both times:
Psalms 32
8I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.
Jesus wants to pour out his heart to us:
Proverbs 1
23If you had repented at my rebuke, then surely I would have poured out my thoughts to you; I would have made my teachings known to you.
Psalms 25
14The Lord confides in those who fear him.
Amos 4 He reveals his thoughts to mankind.
Jeremiah 33:3
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’
Isaiah 45
I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me, if I could not be found.
Jeremiah 29
11For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14I will be found by you,” declares the Lord.
Jeremiah 10:23 23Lord, I know that people’s lives are not their own;
it is not for them to direct their steps.

and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5Commit your way to the Lord;
trust in him and he will do this.
Matthew 6:8 Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
These verses really helped me move my fear/respect/need for attention away from humans and over to God:
Isaiah 2 22Stop trusting in mere humans,
who have but a breath in their nostrils.
Why hold them in esteem?
Mathew 10 28Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
10The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Proverbs 8
13To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.
psalms 86
5You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you.
Jeremiah 33:9
They will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide.
1 Peter 5:7
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Psalms 53
2God looks down from heaven
on all mankind
to see if there are any who understand,
any who seek God.
1 Chronicles 28
Acknowledge the God of your fathers, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought.
God uses dreams to warn us:
Job 33
14For God does speak-now one way, now another-though no one perceives it.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they slumber in their beds,
16he may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
17to turn them from wrongdoing
and keep them from pride,
18to preserve them from the pit,
their lives from perishing by the sword.
……..29“God does all these things to a person-
twice, even three times-
30to turn them back from the pit,
that the light of life may shine on them.
James 4
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you.
It was so easy to see other’s faults but never my own.
psalms 19
12But who can discern their own errors?
We are always on his mind, he cares and thinks about us continually, as a Father cares about his child.
Jeremiah 12:3
3Yet you know me, Lord;
you see me and test my thoughts about you.
If you want to know God, all you have to do is ask Him.
Great days lie ahead!
Much love,

evil behavior and perverse speech.
God uses dreams to warn us:
Job 33
14For God does speak-now one way, now another-though no one perceives it.
15In a dream, in a vision of the night,
when deep sleep falls on people
as they slumber in their beds,
16he may speak in their ears
and terrify them with warnings,
17to turn them from wrongdoing
and keep them from pride,
18to preserve them from the pit,
their lives from perishing by the sword.
……..29“God does all these things to a person-
twice, even three times-
30to turn them back from the pit,
that the light of life may shine on them.
James 4
7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come near to God and he will come near to you.
It was so easy to see other’s faults but never my own.
psalms 19
12But who can discern their own errors?
We are always on his mind, he cares and thinks about us continually, as a Father cares about his child.
Jeremiah 12:3
3Yet you know me, Lord;
you see me and test my thoughts about you.
If you want to know God, all you have to do is ask Him.
Great days lie ahead!
Much love,
Amy
@G99Z9R great bro, now is our time keep living
2022 was just another wasted year. It’s getting worse.

A message to the future generations:
"Don't let Iron Maiden's music die"
Hey, i'm 16 y/o and you can count on me for that.
Don't worry buddy I got my entire workforce hooked on Maiden
Goddamn masterpiece
What would you recommend their best song is. I’m new to rock.
hi, i'm 13 yo so their music isnt dying
Same. I was 16 in 86. Back when Mtv played music, they had a vote for videos each day, this song was on everyday.
I bought the Cassette when I was 16 to ✌
I was seventeen when this song got out. It wasn't until much later in life I learned about the band's history. A band that started in 1975 ... helped define metal and clawed their way to absolute superstardom in mid-late 80s. They've had many great songs before and after ... but, at the time they wrote this, I think it is their Magnum Opus.
It’s timeless! Such a great song 🔥

Iron Maiden was prophetic on this song because if you got to grow up anytime in the 50's through the 90's with all the golden classic cars, movies, music & concerts from the best pop culture eras that will NEVER be repeated, YOU were very blessed!
Way to miss the song's message
I turned 50 today, still remember my first maiden concert when I was 14 in Zabrze Poland, this song always made me feel optimistic about the future. Thanks for all the great music guys.
We're the same age and when I was 15 I saw my 1st Maiden show too. That was in San Francisco. World Slavery Tour! Poland was where the entire tour began. Very impressive.

No such thing anymore
Hall of shame
Nah, They dont need the hall of fame. They are fine without that shitty thing.

Never gets old or boring. What a master piece. It is a pity that we don't get music like this these days
because the motive for todays artists is money. metal bands do it to express feelings, thats the difference
The only band who comes close for me is Rammstein. In fact, Deutschland has Iron Maiden vibes probably as a nod to them.
