  • J. Herbin Lie de Thé ink is described as looking like burnt tea leaves. Depending on what pen and nib you are using it can appear anywhere from a dark brown, to yellowish, greenish gold. It shades very well and is great for writing in journals with off-white paper. I think I'm going to like this ink a lot.

What a fantastic way to show off an ink color and fountain pen that also gives useful information on what the ink might actually look like in actual use! Thanks!

Lovely drawing and of course, a great ink that I am going to add to my ink lot.

Wow - fantastic! All of it. The line variation you can pull from the stub nib, especially in the tea leaves - true masterstrokes. Thank you!

Have you tried using a water brush on the dry ink? It creates a watercolor effect. Also, you can dip a brush into the ink or dilute the ink with water and fill a water brush.
