“I’m not going to tell you the loss amount but it’s sure as heck going on the thumbnail”
😂
I believe he said as a joke or did I just get like that? Or you saying this as a joke too? Huh 😒
Shit😂😂😂 I didn’t notice that
I knew I will see this comment even before I saw the comment section 🤣🤣
Thumbnail is changed now 7 hours later lol
He finally experienced a normal cash game.
Your approach to winning, and especially losing, is so refreshing. Love the attitude! This is why, in my opinion, you will continue to be a winning player.
Another excellent video. Good Job. Sorry about the loss. It happens.
When the biggest loss of your life is less than a 3rd of the biggest win, your doing alright.
You're
You are
you are
You are
@@Grandremone who, me?
Your an awesome guy and a great poker player. You handled it like a champ. Like you said just focus on your game and keep trying to get better
Great (balanced) video and perspective. Looking forward to the upswing!
Wow! I’ve been watching you since the beginning. This Vlog has been 1 of my favorites. You’ve made best lay-downs I’ve seen in years personally. I would have lost a lot of $$$ by not folding your top pair of Kk and pocket QQ. Also, not going all-in on the 2 pairs vs AAA, flush over flush…. You’ve made amazing folds, calls, and raises. I have a new respect for you my friend. Your thought processes and detailed explanations were absolutely mind boggling. I am learning so much from you. You’ve just became my all times favorite. I went to the Hustler sometimes just because you’re there playing bro. I wish you the best in your career and stay positive.
the qq fold wasn't that hard this deep against a guy scared of his own shadow. it's just annoying to have to make it.
you the man, good luck out there👍👍
The first couple hands showed you could have lost more. You're a boss
The guy he referred to as "hoodie" has absolutely no clue how to play premium hole cards correctly. How do you get AA and KK and come away with so few chips?
True
Keep pushing Kid ! It was bound to happen...You are by far the best out of SM ! Im very happy to have seen you grow.....Mikey
Mariano your honesty is refreshing. Thank you.
Mariano, you have become one of my favorite players to watch, maybe top 10. Considering that you were playing 1-3 not too long ago (I heard), I think you are doing just fine right now. Good job!
You’re a fantastic player man, thanks for sharing and hope the run good comes back shortly 👊🏻
Seriously refreshing to see a humble poker player show their losses, and explain both their thought processes, and the mistakes versus what would theoretically be best play from a calculated GTO. Especially since none is able to play optimally in every hand, I think it's important for new players to see that losing is a big part of playing, but you don't give up long term, you play, learn, and walk away at the end of the session no matter the results. Though wins do come with bigger smiles normally lol😂
The first two hands it seems like Hoodie is doing his best NOT to get value out of you LOL
Good attitude mate! Take care!
Mariano watching your content over the years and hearing your thought process has elevated my game to another level. Thank you! Running bad sucks!! Ryan needs to be investigated!! I'll be in Vegas in late August, hope you have a meet up game!!
Enjoy all your vids much respect.
Always appreciate and enjoy your videos. Thank you so much. Best wishes to you!
One opinion or advice I wanted to give you as one of your follower ...you should think twice and play smart when your playing with the house meaning the owner of the house no matter how good you are you'll never gonna beat the house
So better do not collide with Ryan or Nick
From in-house technical team somewhere can send signal to a dealer then from a dealer to the owner come on no one can snap call that quick hands of AK with that huge amount..anyway it's free to speculate but just focus to the and that opponent if it is Ryan or Nick
Just focus the way Ryan plays he was so sure he is gonna win 🤣 and pay the debt
Of his sister he needs to milk you I got nothing against Mr Ryan Feldman he is a nice guy but he still have control as an owner I humbly suggested he shouldn't be playing at all just to save the pride and security
The signal of the dealer can come from his finger or hand gesture remember that Mariano be careful of them play with cautious 💪
I’ve never seen any other vlogger who put opponents on A5 suited as much as you. Fun fact. Most players aren’t being aggro with A5 suited. I know it’s the darling of the pro poker world the last couple of years. But they don’t got it. Hardly if ever.
True, it's always the A4s...
Great video, sucks that you lost… was wondering what camera you use again?!? I know you’ve mentioned it before but can’t remember…
I'm convinced there is such a thing as optimal live stream play and that you've developed a theory of change for the game in these circumstances. It's probably (on balance) a question of what hands would be entertaining for streaming weighed against risk/reward and some other factors.
I'd actually love to hear open convo about this subject if it doesn't mean giving up trade secrets.
C o n v e r s a t i o n ✨️
Good point
I think that's a fair point as well. It may (and probably is) be production/broadcast bias, but it seems a lot of the high variance decisions or unbalanced decisions like, "most of the time I should be folding this but EVERY NOW AND THEN you want to raise." And we always see the decision that is supposed to be made maybe 10% of the time and it feels like it's being made all the time when there is an actual balance that is being called for. Is the proper balance actually there? Do we just see the extreme situations, etc.?
@sd_pjwal the 90% he folds just don't make the vlog because no one wants to see a pre-flop fold. (Whether it actually I'd 90% folds still up for debate I guess)
@@m4tt5678 I agree 👍
That K8 fold in the first hand is great skill, surprised you laid that down of all people considering how loosely you can sometimes call
Well played
Sorry for the loss man, but overall your still at a W hopefully I bounce back from a massive loss from what I normally have
The loss shows you are human, changes nothing for the fans except we have more respect for you. Why? Honesty goes a long way, keep your head up kid, we ❤ you.
Sometimes makes me not want to play poker anymore 😂
God bless you in Jesus name Amen 🙏
I love poker
Stop meat riding
Mariano what watch are you wearing on stream I need to know.
It happens to all of us. Keep your head up! 👊
Never happened to me… 🤷🏻♂️
Oh wait! that’s bc I don’t have $250k to lose…. 😂😂😂😂
What kind of camera do you use? Bendiciones
It happens all the time bro . Keep your head up you will get back on track.
I really, really appreciated the beginning “cast of characters” and of course, sorry about the loss!
Is just a bump on the road you will get back o back soon dude!, We all need this bumps because we learn from them and we become better.
Feels like you played well and ran bad. Some nice laydowns and a few coolers. You play a high variance style so this is to be expected.
Great video! Tough loss! 😮
Mariano you are the best and I have been watching you since Day 1. Please never stop making videos!🤘🏼🔥
Win or lose is poker u r the best keep up good stuff. 10 out 3 u still amazing learning is feeling lost is probably going right detection
That 10-9 Suited hand is very indicative of what good players do when they are starting to tilt. They get impatient, stubborn, and are getting impacted by blind spots that are appearing in their play sight. We've all been there. It's a tough spot, but that voice in your head that told you to fold that hand pre... that's the voice that you always have to listen to, ego be damned.
Ouch, that hero call stinged. Keep at it man, always enjoy your blogs and excellent poker playing.
Can someone tell me the name of the beat on 1:06. Its really fire!
Shazam!
YOOOO HOODIE ALLEN “NO INTERUPTION” Boom “Sniper TRICKSHOT beat! Damn the nostalgia on seeing him on the table
I think you played remarkably well even considering the loss. I think the final hand I think you had some stress from the night and Ryan had a good read on you otherwise would think he would have folded there. There were very trick decision points here and for sure did better than most of us with your decisions.
i used to learn english for few years at school. but after i didn't have any practice, so i guess i forgot it. now am watching every short film by Mariano and understand every word, but also can write this comment without google translator. i am fishy tournament player, but now i have one wish - to try offline cash to realise did i teach something from viewing this lessons.
Mariano, smile. you're massive
What watch is that you are wearing mate? Can’t really see.
Wow. You still played well brah. Those first two hands though were epic. Amazing folds!
Can someone please tell me where can I order this kind of deck what they use in this casino? Somewhere in Europe if its possible, thanks
Nice fold with the QQ pre vs hoodies KK all in. Would you also fold if you had KK instead in this spot?
no he would not. W QQ you pray he has AK facing 5 bet jam playing deep and its not likely this deep against a guy who does not have a 5 bet bluff range. W KK, he has value 5 bet jams that you beat ex. AKs QQ. you cannot fold.
Loved recording it from the gym, it’s such a relatable feeling to just decide to go put your body in physical pain to block out the mental/emotional stuff. Keep your head up and you’ll get it back. Great stuff as always!
I think he recorded only the intro and summary at gym. Rest he would have recorded at his studio room only.
Having watched you for a while during your amazing run I just wanted to compliment you immensely for the self awareness to understand regression to the mean as a part of the game and be totally humble and respectful in a brutal difficult session. Much respect & enjoy that physical training.
Sometimes your the bug and sometimes your the windshield. Great content Mariano.
Quick pause of the video but I can’t imagine you’re starting off with two fantastic folds… must have been a really rough session!
Tough session. Still, great content. Appreciate the improving production quality. It's subtle, but noted.
favorite poker vlogger bro youll make it back next stream goodluck next time bro🙏
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Losing that much I couldn’t imagine. It is a house in my neck of the woods
Damn watching as I'm at the gym on the treadmill
I loved that you showed players and their occupations, I always wondered what people did to play that much money.
Could someone link which hustler casino live stream he’s talking about?
You'll be back !!!
Dam! Hope you bounce back.
Thanks for sharing
Rough one Brother! Only 2.5 buy ins and that shit happens. Good attitude is everything, keep it up.
From what I see, looks like you were put in some tough spots and lost the minimum, of course the minimum is also more than what I bought my house for 10 years ago. Keep doing your thing Mariano.
00:48 for sure don’t spoil it. By making the number huge in the thumbnail
Okay I’m back after finishing the vid. Despite the big loss, I think you played fairly well! Goodluck to you Mariano.
Yeah, can't say he spazzed on any of those legitimately tough spots.
@@mattbix13 I think he is being too hard on himself. That A-T-9 hand was a overplayed sure but it was just a cooler in the end. He has some great folds!
Ya poker is hard when you don’t run like a god
Unfortunate reality, that I get frustrated about too. Aggro players MUST sustain a table image that injects doubt, in order to run believable bluffs. This means actually showing down some winning hands. I have bled and bled at a table, and known that if I had flipped over a winning set at some point, I could push 'that guy' off of top pair. But if I've folded every preflop and mucked every hand, bled off chips, missed too many draws.... I actually have to hit something before I can push successfully again, or else that schmuck will call me down with pocket deuces. I have, obviously, never played at these stakes or skill levels, but it sure looks the same from here. How else does someone call off three streets of value and half a deep stack with A high?
You were playing so well early, personally i hate to compound errors and that 109s hand was trying to hard to be folded. That hoodie guy must hate money, he is literally your gimp.
8:50 why bigger sizing is better? Avoid some reraises and what else? Thank you guys
We love the conversation!
What do you think of overbet on the river in the KJ vs AK vs Feldman? I think solvers would like that.
As you said, brutal, but not like you punted it away, just on the wrong end of a sick spot with 2p v set and a great call with A high. They are what made you the winner you are and will be again. Chin up and smash those weights!
its more fun to watch you win! always handled like a gentlemen though
Ryan is going after you, everytime when i see you playing with Ryan...he's on position next to you. He takes the advantage against the most aggressiv player...next time you'll win ❤
Didn’t think about that but yes this is correct. I would not let him sit to your left on future streams. It’s like taking the high ground. I have been annihilated even when I know that’s what an opponent is doing.
He knows hole cards
Cooler against Aces.. oooof. Still, you've been on the other end of these, so I guess the universe is searching for balance! You're incredibly gifted, though, I'm sure you'll be back in the green soon.
Mariano! is that the prx tissot?
Good luck in the future, Mariano.
Some days you win , some days you lose … you’ll bounce back
That hurts but it wasn't very long ago that you were playing 1/2 or 2/5 at Morongo so you haven't seen to many big losses along the way. Love your content.
Karma for you running so good the last year Poker gods had to correct things.
Noticed you've been getting out of line alot bro tighten it up and get back on that winning streak!
Tough hands.... i feel the mental strain this put on you....
You will bounce back higher, no doubt.
The last hand was the most burial, since he either had a read, or just didn't believe what you where selling, hero call with no pair😮. We all have had it happen to us, but most of us can not imagine the effects at these stakes,! I ran into 2 coolers within 3 hands, nut straight on turn loosing to flush on the river, then nut flush on turn vs villain boating on river 😢. Reloaded, and was able grind back for only a $40 loss on the session, so I count that as a win on ability.
Next session was $550 win, both at $1/3, that session had 2 players just running bad, both had bought in, and reloaded for $1200 total each, so the table had action.
Most of us can only dream of being able to play at these stakes, and with the way your year has been going, this is only a big speed hump that might require a wheel alignment to get you running straight again, and be able to dodge the potholes.
Wait is this hoodie Allen - no interruption guy? That was is a banger!
Lol what a station from Ryan on that last hand. Doesn’t matter how aggressive he thinks you are, AKo is just a fold, if not on the turn, definitely on the river.
Agreed but he's the one with the chips so 🤷🏻♂️
If you bluff a lot on stream, they’re gunna start calling.
Thanks for not spoiling the loss amount in the intro. If only you didn't already show it in the thumbnail 😅
Is that a Tissot PRX you're wearing?
Yes
You’re wrong about us not wanting to hear you “yapping” as you put it, especially on live streamed reviews. ❤
I have to give back once in a while- can’t Sun run all the time or else no one will want to play with u lol- keep up the grind , u will be fine✌🏻🙏🏼👊🏼👍🏼
Fan before this loss and I’m still a fan still rooting for you. For the people in the comments that said something like “we all go through this” is kinda of laughable. 99.999% have not and never will have a 255k loss in a single session. Would be devastating
It’s good to know that even the biggest binkers have bad games to! Brutal loss man.
Possibly the easiest guys on youtube to root for success because of his approach to this kind of result
Hoodie should probably go back to more realistic stakes for him…some of his folds were hilarious. Almost like he is playing scared money. Good content Mariano, don’t blame you for making that call on the 10 9d hand, I feel like a lot of the time he would have AK there.
Easy cold call from Ryan bc mike X raised then you raises so all he has to do is let mike raise you again potentially. When mike raised and you called and Ryan raises I’m thinking he’s got minimum KK or AA. It obvious he’s not afraid of both of your hands. When I see that ACE on the flip even tho I have 2 pair I’m gonna thinking I’m behind. I’m checking down and folding to huge bets.
Ryan is playing good poker. Making the right calls and reads. Well done
Playing exactly like someone who knows before the hand If his hand is good or not at the end
That call with Ace high was insane
Hanging there man! But Jesus. Ryan is next level
Wow thats crazy!
Don't enjoy watching run bad, I'm glad you took it so well.
Yea I remember the first time i lost a quarter mil. Itll turn around
