This was like an alternate version of Home Alone 3. This is what Kevin turned into after his violent and sadistic traps from the first two movies.

Anything stronger would’ve made it a Stephen King horror film which would’ve probably been to much for children ticket sales

Well, it technically wasn't aimed for kids, hence the R rating, but I can imagine some would have taken/show their kids this assuming it was family friendly. To be honest, I don't find the R rating earned as far as content goes, as it feels very PG-13 in that regard, but it feels like it was done that way since Macaulay Culkin was at the height of his popularity and the filmmakers must have really wanted people to know that it was not kid friendly.

I understand what you're saying. I'm sure alot of people saw this movie but watching it as a young child had a emotional and psychological impact on me. Even at such a young age it had me questioning the psychology of people and the aspect of nature versus nurture. It freaked me out cuz I was so young and I kind of realized that some people are just born evil as hell.

I honestly love this movie. It’s perhaps my favorite movie with Elijah and Mcully. Yes Home Alone and LOTR are arguably and objectively better. But this movie really shows how some people are just born as psychopaths. And it’s a testament to their acting skills to make it look almost damn near convincing and real. And that’s what scares me, I can distinguish between reality and fiction just making a point here. This a good movie that shouldn’t be forgotten

McCauley Culkin plays the perfect villain. He is creepy, I thought so in his Home Alone series. they were great I am not saying they were bad but my gut said he was not for a good kid movie. Well he did turn out not so good and definitely not cute. I guess he really did have talent to play different roles.

This is perhaps just a coincidence, ever since Macaulay Culkin preformed these movies, when he was in “The PageMaster” his character has a fear of heights, and in this movie it gets us viewers feeling afraid of high shots, an probably there was a connection with Macaulay’s characters he played as.

This movie was so disturbing. I was so angry at Henry throughout this entire movie. As hard as it can be, it is best to stay calm in these situations. Because if you snap, the facts will be reversed to make you look like the bad guy.

I think people like Henry end up running the world when they grow up & that’s why the world has always been a messed up place.
Power, control, scaring people, not caring if good people get hurt.
This movie may have been trying to shed a light on the fact that they were children once.
Shed a light on the fact that people can be born bad & can have those types of tendencies as children & we, as adults, need to look out for the signs
