I absolutely love the pattern. I've slowly started to replace my real tree stuff with it... It's all so expensive to buy clothes you wear for such a short time of the year though..
Big fan of the pattern. I too am one of those folks that use a hodgepodge of patterns. Being youthfully challenged, I have a few old school military camo patterns. I guess you can say I wore camo when camo wasn’t cool. It has always been my favorite color. My cold weather jacket needs replaced. I’ll definitely check out the parka. Thanks for the in depth review.
Bought my son this pattern last year. He flat disappears as he walks towards his stand. Almost eerie. At least for my human eyes it's the best pattern I've seen for woods hunting.
I picked up a all in one hoodie that is similar to the light wieght shirt you were wearing. It has been drugged through Colorado brush on two 10 day hunts and to many white tail and turkey hunts to count. I even work in it in the winter. I would love to know how there rain gear holds up
I don’t hunt the SW, and strata is the only Truetimber pattern I have tried. It seems to me that strata is a great pattern that should work just about anywhere…but that’s just my thought, not my experience
Good review on some nice looking clothes. I like to wear a beanie or toboggan over my hat also ( if it's cold enough ) to shade my eyes, well glasses mainly from reflection from the sun. Again good video and good luck this deer season. God bless.
I’m not where I can get to that jacket right now, but I believe it’s a large. I wear a large In just about everything, though sizes do vary a bit based on where in a layering system it’s intended to be used.
What country are the clothes made? I like the price but it makes me nervous they don't have it listed on their website. I hate to toot the anti-china horn but ive had a few cheap pairs of hunting clothes made and china and im pretty sure they all fell apart in one season.
I don’t know, I’ll see if I can find out. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I think this gear will last many seasons. If I find out, I’ll reply back here.
Does the meritor parka have any zippers for ventilation. I’m looking for a hunting jacket but feel like the parka is too much. Have you gotten to wear the parka yet?
I have not had a chance to use it yet. I do not believe it has any ventilation zippers. I have used most of the gear on a recent hunt and have been pleased so far.
I'm affortunate, in my tropical country i don't need all the collection, just the light pants and light longsleeve shirt, a hat and maybe the mask and gloves... The sad part is: is not available in my country, had to pay a bit more for the shipping and to bring it from USA 😅😅😅, But i love the sTT strata camo.
@TheBudgetSportsman yessir I'm trying to find somthing to keep me warm on a budget, I have the hoodie and polar fleece jacket but together it's to bulky to layer for me, so looking for somthing to keep me warm that I can layer from waist up, I have base layer what would you suggest I get? Keep in mind I do have the hoodie and polar fleece jacket just them 2 together don't layer well for me
ok, let me share some thoughts. 1. I tend to get cold and I am used to layering to the point of feeling bulky. I often wear the high-pile fleece hoodie with the Meritor Parka. That would be a bulkier combination than what you are using. 2. It seems that True Timber sizes gear based on where they expect you to use it in your system. I can see how the two pieces of gear you mentioned wouldn't pair well together because both of them a fairly slim fit. I would use both of these as a mid layer piece of clothing with an outer layer. I don't think I have ever used these two together. For example, the meritor parka is sized in such a way to allow midweight layers underneath, whereas both the polar fleece and hoodie both seem to fit without much extra room for any bulky layers...that could be part of your problem. 3. I really enjoy the Meritor Parka for warmth, but if you are worried about bulk that may not be the jacket for you. I wear it with either of the two pieces you mentioned underneath it and still bow hunt and have flexibility to draw my bow. 4. If you feel that the Meritor is too bulky, then I would suggest looking at the truesuede down jacket. It does cut the wind and I wore it quite a bit this season over the polar fleece. It is much less bulky than the meritor but also not quite as warm.
@TheBudgetSportsman they don't have the meritor in my size rn, which truesuade down jacket are you referring to? The pulse adrenaline? And also I been trying to figure out which are there outers and there mid layers so I could buy accordingly. Thanks for your response I really appreciate you helping me out
@CodyVinson yes the pulse adrenaline truesuade down. I used it in conjunction with the polar fleece quite a bit this season and enjoyed the combination. Once the temperatures really got cold I switched over to the meritor.
I will always like and follow channels that are clear about their relationship with manufacturers.

Your welcome. You may be youthfully challenged but probably well experienced.
I found the camo demo useful. Appreciate your reviews as always.
Thanks Jonathan. Glad you found it useful.

I’ve been loving it so far! Glad to hear your experience.
Great video. Thank you for taking the time to do it. I'm a big True Timber and Strata fan.
If you liked this video, check out my channel for part 2 and 3 of this series.
I have some of this stuff already and it gets the job done, no complaints especially with the prices.
Thanks for the feedback. I am enjoying it for sure.
I love the strata pattern. I started using Huntworth Tarnen because it looks a lot like it.
Huntworth makes nice clothes for sure. Personally I prefer the strata over the tarnen, but I do agree they have some similarities.

The all in one hoodie is a great piece. I wore mine nearly every day of this past hunting season.
Loved your review! I just ordered all the gear you previewed. Can’t wait to get it in and use it!
Awesome. I hope you got in on the sale going on right now. If you buy the parka you can get the bibs for free
More than a year ago now...how has the gear worked for you?
Best money ever spent. I have yet to get cold. Will definitely continue to use this brand!!
It's nice to see a thicker hoodie. Most underarmor style hoodies are too thin to handle lower than 50 degrees and warmer if there is a breeze.
That thick hoodie is really nice. I’m a fan.
Which TrueTimber pattern do you recommend for coyote, varmint, and jackrabbit hunting in the Southwest?
I don’t hunt the SW, and strata is the only Truetimber pattern I have tried. It seems to me that strata is a great pattern that should work just about anywhere…but that’s just my thought, not my experience
I’m looking for a super quiet but heavyweight jacket for the season. How quiet is the Merito Parka
I enjoy my meritor parka. I feel it’s pretty quiet, water resistant, and fairly warm.
Does the hoodie have the high pile fleece in the arms as well?
Yes it does. They also have a quarter zip with high pike fleece in the body but not the arms. I believe I show it in part two of this video
@@TheBudgetSportsman thanks for the quick reply! Ordered the hoodie 👍🏼
How is the sizing/fit on the Merito Parka?
I’m 6’1” and 190 lbs. A large fits me well with enough room for base and mid weight layers.

Thanks Carl.
Nice video, I was looking for reviews on truetimber. What size do you wear in the midweight shell jacket?
I’m not where I can get to that jacket right now, but I believe it’s a large. I wear a large In just about everything, though sizes do vary a bit based on where in a layering system it’s intended to be used.
sorry, seem to have missed this comment.I wear a large in just about everything from truetimber...top and bottom.

So I got an answer for you. “some materials are sourced globally but EVERYTHING is manufactured in Inman, South Carolina”
@@TheBudgetSportsman Thats awesome, thanks
Great video. Is there a promo code for you to get credit if we buy something?
I don’t have a discount code, but if you use the links in the description I will get a small commission.
Good. I wasn’t looking for a discount. I wanted you to get credit for it. I used the link and bought a couple things. I’m excited to get the hoodie

I love my strata pieces. Good price and quality!!
Looks like some great year at really fair prices.
That’s my conclusion for sure. Maybe not the most premium, nor the cheapest but strikes a really nice balance of quality vs price.

You had a chance to try this in cold weather yet?
Yes I’ve been wearing Truetimber for 3 seasons now. Are there any specific pieces that you have questions about?

Definitely looks great and has an affordable price tag! Thanks for sharing your thoughts 👍
Thanks for your support HuntingFarmer.
Nice set of hunting clothes especially for the price. Good deal in my opinion 👍
Thanks for watching. I agree it’s nice gear for the price.
Would the truesuede pant have any issues with burrs and stickers? That’s about my biggest concern with the “suede” material.
Yes I imagine that could be a problem. You might be better off with the pulse series.
That’s a great way to lay out a video with pricing and item name down below
Thanks, I just posted a part 2 to this video with more gear from TrueTimber
