The song was made for the 2.0 version trailer to really bring out the vibe we'll get on the new planet Penacony
so to explain why this song is related to the game the next planet in hsr 2.0 is basically the galactic las vegas its nothing like any other places in genshin or hsr and thats why this is so different

This is actually the version trailer for Honkai Star Rail 2.0. They did a similar music video for 1.0 as well so it seems possible that each version will have a song like this.

This was the version trailer for 2.0 which is the introduction of a new planet, Penacony.
Penacony is a planet that mostly exists in a literal shared dream. Dream logic reigns Supreme and it looks like the story is going to be amazing. And it drops later today.

2.0 and 2.1 have been really good at making seemingly nice songs and making them heartbreaking after finishing the story.
First we had “If I can stop one heart from breaking” and now this.
We first thought this was a groovy jazz song.
Then we thought it was about the Trailblazer.
Now we realize it was about Aventurine, and it is really sad.

This is the intro video for the 2.0 patch wich introduces Penacony, world of dreams so they had to go all out with it, they did a similar thing with the game's release so it not that unique.

To clarify regarding the versions: the version you watched is the shortened/tv/movie version (which is often done for east asian media to fit into time-limited content such as anime episodes). There is a full version in English, as well as in three additional languages: Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, & Korean, each with slightly different lyrics, which give off different vibes.
As for why this doesn’t sound like any of the boss themes, this is actually the theme song for the new world added to Honkai Star Rail: Penacony, which is a world of festivities/“where dreams come true”.
Regarding HSR reactions, there are actually quite a few really fun ones that have come out lately. My personal recommendation for great reaction material is ‘Sweet Dreams Preview: “The Great Tatalov”’. There are also a few other really funny videos, such as the “Breaking News!” They even went as far as to invite a Nobel Laureate to promote the game / give lessons on dream theory.
There IS a full version!! It's just a LITTLE longer (2:18), but it's still worth checking out :D

Still really hoping you can react to some of the older Star Rail recommendations like the animated shorts and Space Comedy before people completely forget them since you've seen most of the Star Rail trailers and stuff and people might think you've already seen them since you've seen the other stuff from that time frame. This was the Opening for 2.0. There were multiple trailers for this as well. Honkai Star Rail is Hoyos favourite child and they have no intention of hiding it

I dont know and wont speak for most people but buddy if you ever wish to rewind and re-analyse any video then freely do so. There are lots of people who do appreciate when UA-camrs and music youtubers rewatch and talk about their fav parts of said video or song.
Although its true that majority also like when reactors watch anything in one go without interruptions (or going back to be precise) but many will definitely appreciate it.

Yeah the joke is that the Trailblazer is always going through a trash can. And the Space Comedy video for Star Rail starts with the female Trailblazer opening a Trash can.
You should also react to the song from Robin too. It call “If I can stop one heart from breaking.” By honkai star rail also.
So far every X.0 version trailer of Star Rail is a music video, 1.0 opened with "Interstellar Journey", now 2.0 opens with "White Night". Here's hoping this is a trend and 3.0 opens with another banger song.

There's official full version(longer than MVs) on Spotify alongside other language versions - english, japanese, chinese and korean - all with their own vocalist. That's how HoYoverse promotes their favorite child, great song every freaking new "region", not even mentioning the crazy rewards we get in-game.

So, I don't know much about gachas, but the music of one that may be worthwhile checking is the Project Moon games. Specifically library of ruina and limbus company. They have such great songs its crazy how little reactions there are out there.
TLDR; This is the new opening for the second season (version 2.0) of Honkai Star Rail, we also had one for the 1.0
Honkai Star rail is a masterpiece, in game cinematics, music, gameplay... you should try, it's easier than Genshin but more gratifying (more chances to get characters)

The new update that this is for Is kind of a party planet, Star rail is Sci Fi where you visit all kinds of new places, it has all kinds of themes :)))
So instead of releasing video of hsr 2.0 trailer just like they always do, they decided to release a song to the hype
I'd say this actually does fit in with selected parts of the Star Rail soundtrack - while most of it is atmospheric or battle music, there are times where it drops into a softer "we're exploring the universe and all we know about where we're going is it'll be unknown" vibe. And they've had vocal tracks before. In some ways it's easier to do this with Star Rail - a lot of why Hoyoverse has gotten away with so much in Genshin Impact (not that they haven't also been censored multiple times) is that they can point to extensive cultural research informing all of their art. That does limit the scope of what they can officially produce rather than focus on out of fan works.
