With all these months of radio silence, it feels a lot like they've given up. I stopped playing shortly after they halted seasons anyway. So much for getting Christmas skins, potential new characters and all that. They said they would be focusing on polishing up the game... but we've basically only gotten a new UI that many fans aren't comfortable with, some tweaks to Collection Runs and that's basically it. Nothing else since. And that's such a bummer too since Sonic's mobile games are thriving quite well.
I think it will come back, but this big break between updates will kill all the momentum the game had, and I highly doubt the next big update will bring new and/or old players back. Mobile games rarely have long life time
In my opinion, I think that Crash Bandicoot on the Run will get new content in the future. The reason why it’s put on hold for now is because due to the fact that each season is the same thing. We get a free pass and a Bandicoot Pass which we get free rewards by completing every challenges. It’s also that the developers had to work at house dues to the pandemic so they needed more helpers like coders and testers to help out with the game. Another reason is that due to Microsoft brought Activision/Blizzard, they’re really put on hold for new content. My guess is that probably if they are going to add new content to Crash Bandicoot on the Run, it would be in September which is Crash Bandicoot’s Birthday or some time next year once Microsoft’s acquisition goes through. I still think that people still plays Crash Bandicoot on the Run. We were all excited to play Crash Bandicoot on the Run. I played it and I love it. I also think that they would had to rework on the grind system like getting different loot to make ingredients to craft items before fighting bosses. At last there don’t force you to pay with cash to continue. It does have ads, but if you ignore the ads, you will enjoy it.

Honestly I feel like the issue was actually from Crash's parent company Activision getting into hot water for a while with the whole Blizzard debacle, since the hiatus happened around the same time that issue was at it's peak. But that's just a theory.
No the Acquisition isn't going to affect any current plans as there's a small chance the deal doesn't go through it will only affect it once it has gone through if at all.
The game is dead and I’d be surprised if any life came back into it even if they completely updated it. Too much grind and waiting around and paying to do literally anything in the game. Gave up on it less than a week after I started and don’t plan on returning to it If you’re going to make a game like that it deserves to fail quite frankly

I felt so disappointed when Looney tunes dash got shut down by Zynga and then I heard about Crash on the run game so I tested it and I really enjoyed the game but after few months king similarly did what Zynga did😔

Yeah saying that in an email is one thing but being publicly silent for nearly a year is another thing. Even if there is new content coming the majority of the player base has already moved on.
I enjoyed crash but my reflexes have never been good and it got a little chaotic the last time a tried it, so I'm looking for something else, shame though.
I don’t think the game will be revived at all, it been months, the seasons had been abandoned, the rewards is ridiculous. I expected a worthy Crash game on mobile, turning it into a cash-grab with microtransactions that are forced. Sky Children of the Light was executed better, it’s updated and the micro-transactions are for the season pass and cosmetics, you are still free to do a new season freely thought. The temple-run kind of game cannot live longer, the worlds are restricted, and there is always the crafting, for ingredients and weapons. I gave up after some months..
I did not like this game at all it is very boring and repetitive. I wish we will soon see new crash game Unfrotuintly When Microsoft bought Activation we start seing delay in even news about their games. it is realy bad.

I found Crash On The Run boring after a while.

OTR probably made plenty of money just not enough to keep it going. That’s probably why the CTR GP’s stopped

I think (and hope) Crash On the Run will come back. But the wait is so tiresome, I have no idea when this game will be updated again
