All the firearms make sense as to being in the game with the games location possibly being in Romania. A cz pistol, a russian saiga shotgun, an ak draco pistol converted to full auto, a remington 870 and some american surplus firearms that probably were left behind after ww2.
Too bad his is a fake reproduction, or gunsmith mod... But pretty hard to find original issued trench guns now so I understand, I just hope people arent cutting up good 1897 long barrels to fit the aftermarket heat shield to.
fun fact, all those left over guns from before WW1 and WW2 would have most likely been sold as surplus guns. An extremely common practice when certain firearms become "outdated" that allows you to get a quality firearm for relatively cheap, and even a firearm that was never fired that was sitting in storage that never got used in relatively perfect condition because they cover those things in copious amounts of gun oil to keep them from rusting for decades meaning that it would essentially be brand new older stock that had never been fired in perfect condition instead of an old, used, rusted, battle worn, and possibly burned out gun that saw action on the beaches.
@@FrenkBatacchioZlatan actually, you'll note the presence of more modern stuff like the sniper rifle and the starting handgun. There were weapons circulating in that village from after WWII. The sniper for instance is a French fr2 or fr3 in 7.62 NATO. Or in freedom units, .308 winchester. That is a round that was developed specifically after WWII right before Vietnam. It was and still is a popular cartridge in battle rifle designs and is also used in high power precision rifles like the French rifle. @@ravioli_826 hey, it's alright. Most people are unaware of that gun model because they only made a handful of them anyway. The only thing thats wrong is the BFR being the revolver. The in game magnum revolver is actually based on the Pfeifer Zeliska .600 nitro express revolver, hence it's name being "PZ" in game. Automags are definitely very expensive/rare, and I think (don't quote me on this) some of the early ones are unsafe to fire, thought here is a company re-making them with modern machining, however they also cost a fortune!
a few discrepancies I'd like to point out. He used a mossberg 12 gauge pump in place of the 870. the 1851 wolfsbane was actually not modeled after an 1851 navy but actually a colt second or third model dragoon and given an octagonal barrel in the game, but even then in this video he was using an 1860 army revolver reproduction. And finally, the PZ revolver in the game was actually based on an austrian revolver chambered in .600 nitro express called the "kodiak" and not the magnum research BFR revolver he's using in this video. But credit where credit's due, the BFR is chambered for incredibly powerful loads, so that last one isn't too much of a nitpick. what's weird is the fact that the game developers made the wolfsbane revolver the most powerful magnum in the game in terms of damage per shot. the wolfsbane realistically would at most be a .45 colt conversion, and that's using cowboy loads to stay on the safe side and not .45 magnum loads which could damage the gun due to it being an open top revolver in the game and not having a wrap around frame or flat top frame. like .45 +P cartridges or .454 casull. while .45 colt isn't actually considered a magnum cartridge in real life despite the fact that .45 magnum cartridges do exist it will still drop any number of the lycans in game because it's a big bore round with enough ass power behind it to drop anyone. The S.T.A.K.E. magnum is based off of the .475 wildey magnum which as the name suggests shoots .475 caliber rounds. however since it's a semi automatic auto loading pistol, it uses cut down .284 winchester cartridges similar to a .44 automag pistol which uses cut down .44 magnum cartridges, meaning it doesn't use as much powder as you could get away with if you were using a revolver. at 100 yards it effectively has the same muzzle velocity as a .44 magnum. and it being a .475 means that it doesn't even come close to a .600 nitro express rifle round. a .600 nitro express is actually .577" in diameter and the bullets are typically 1,000 grains with 120-ish grains of powder behind them. for comparison, a .45 colt can reach all the way up to 255 grains in weight. the .475 wildey cartridges can reach up to 300 grains in weight. those are both extremely hard hitters with a lot of energy transfer. and being handgun cartridges use only a fraction of the powder of a .600 nitro express. the PZ revolver should be the hardest hitting gun in the entire game at certain ranges and it should also be the heaviest handgun in the game as well. and on top of that it should have the most expensive ammo in the game in terms of crafting and price per round because those cartridges use a lot of gun powder, brass, and lead plus in real life the .600 nitro express round can cost between $52.00- $80.00 per individual round depending on who you get your ammo from and whether or not there's an ammo shortage because people are buying everything out (2020). yes, i know i'm over analyzing the crap out of this, but it can be really interesting when you get into this stuff. the history, craftsmanship, look, feel, and performance of firearms in real life is a really cool topic.
