Everyone of these actors killed their roles, but Dan Blocker, he was special. Dan actually lived the Hoss character. Back in day Bonanza was my family's getting together in front of the old tube and spending quality time enjoying Bonanza. UA-cam brings memories back to life for me, and I'm quite sure that it's the same for many others also. Ya have to love YT !!
god damn man , that makes 2 of us then , i really really feel with hoss , he wiped his tears before he followed lisa to the door in the end , HUGE tough one.
That family are lovely, stand up for a little girl, doesn't matter to them..its a female, and that's all that matters. Man oh man if we had men folk like that today, what a world and of course women would have their part as well
don’t want to burst your bubble but it is only tv show but give all the credit to to guy that writes the script it shows just what sort of person he really is ,
@@johnayers5516 I know man, I know its only TV...been around for a minute🙂 but it was a time that this was truthful I've seen it in my lifetime. Comments are just that...comments
Actually my grandfather lived in a time where women were protected in North Dakota he was 86 years old when he passed away. Is something that you really did you send up for women and you protected children it's not to say that they weren't bad people but it's definitely not like today I can tell you that
I know that I’m probably a party pooper , but that was Hoss’s persona as an actor on Bonanza. Who’s to say how he was as a human being and as a real father. He might have been a real jerk. However, I really doubt that because he obviously loved, or at least, liked children since he chose teaching as his vocation. I was just playing devils advocate about my comment about whether he was a good father in real life. He had four children when he died. Two girls and two boys.
You probably dont give a shit but if you are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all of the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. Been binge watching with my gf for the last months xD
How nice it would be the girl stayed with the Cartwrights. We could see her cute face in every episode then...a new member in the family, as I believed Adam had left the show.
I love bonanza but, I think hoss did the wrong thing by leaving the little girl alone while he got water.. Knowing very well bad men are hanging around... Goodness
That lil girl...same lil creepy thing that played in that paranormal Hitchcock episode "Where the Woodbine Twineth". Well maybe she wasn't creepy, but a kind of weird lil thing Nevertheless.
Best episode ever I love Hoss he's such a gentleman and would have been a great father to the little girl she is so beautiful.
EACH ACTOR OF BONANZA HAVE UNEAK QUALITIES..I LOVE THE CARTWRIGHTS..BEST WESTERN SERIES..EVER MADE..❤❤❤❤❤❤
I love love Bonanza and this was the very best episode I've ever seen.. Dan Blocker you will be missed rest in Peace

What’s really sad is Dan Blocker’s own children lost such a wonderful father at such young ages.
Dan Blocker died at age 43 from a clot in his lung. That is horrible!
Dan blocker died after having problems with gallbladder surgery. I read and seen an biography on him.
@@marthaashley2211 He must have got the clot in his lung from his gallbladder surgery. That is a bummer.

I read somewhere once that he was a wonderful father and husband. I can't quite remember where I found this information it was such a long time ago
Another good episode. Hoss is a good actor.
Hoss would have been such a great dad to his children

This was very intense and when big ol Hoss needed his family the most they were there to support him. Family love is everylthing.
