Many singers who have popular songs when they are younger are a lil shy as they age. You can see she’s so unsure of herself in the beginning but is coming around toward the end as she sees how well received she is.
I wish “Say It Right” had a longer performance. That song is a masterpiece live.

The resurgence of Nelly Furtado! Thank God for youtube because apparently American television doesn't think Americans care about the Juno awards. Saw Nelly in concert three times, She is one of my favorite musical artists of all time. This was so fun and nostalgic to watch.

Everyone always remembers Loose, but I love how each Nelly album has different genres: pop rock, folk, R&B, latin pop, dance, indie pop. She could do other Loose just for the success, but she chose to experience everything music can give.
Nelly is seriously a hit maker!!! I'm so disconnected from most of mainstream media-that I didn't realize she was behind so many songs I'd overhear in passing and love!!

International Portuguese artists such as Nelly Furtado and Lucenzo aren't promoted because they're not "latino".
So nostalgia! I was a big fan of Nelly Furtado back when I was a child. So many memories came back to me listening to this medley! She still sounds amazing!!
My first concert in grade 4 was when she released her first album. I went with my mom and my friend, we danced, sang, and had so much fun. I’ve been a fan of her ever since❤
Never realized how much this girl was a part of my childhood, until seeing this video. Brought back so many memories of me and my sisters growing up ❤️

Thats actually Nelly's own backup dancers. They toured with her all of last summer. She prolly didnt want any others then those two, not on Junos part I would say. She prolly wanted them to get the shine and not just be mixed in a bigger group of dancers.
Right??😅 also those 2 backup dancers are cool and stuff but she needs to move on from them, to more professionalized ones (with all respect to their work).

I remember Neko Case saying in an interview that Furtado was one of the few pop artists who refused to use autotune in the studio. It made me respect her a lot for trusting her talent and refusing to go down that route.
I remember receiving the Whoa, Nelly! CD for my birthday from my mom. She knew how much I loved her. I was hooked from that point. I have always always loved Nelly from the start. Folklore was one of my personal favorites, but I love them all! ❤
