How do you get to the burners that are behind the gas valve?? Im a preventative maint tecch and that is so frustrating usaully the 2 left burners are impossible unless you take off the gas valve
Very good video thanks, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone show how the mV drop when the main valve comes on. I also have never worked on a fryer that clean lol
Does the thermopile output drop as it ages? If that output is low would that cause the pilot to shut off when I turn the contol valve to the On position? Thanks
EurekaRecycler I have seen a thermopile produce enough mV to hold the pilot valve open but when the call for heat happens there wasn’t enough energy to hold the main valve open and the pilot drops out completely
The thermopile is a wear and tear part. It is constantly in the flame of the pilot and can and will eventually not work as well as it once did and need replaced. Similar to wiper blades on your car...they do not last forever. You need to know the millivolt output of the thermopile and the gas pressures to answer your questions. Low gas pressure will produce an inefficient pilot flame which will lower the MVs of the Tpile. Wrong flame placement on the Tpile will produce lower MV's...
When testing main valve coil impedance in your video you say to measure impedance across PP1 and TT1, but you are actually going across PP2 & TT2.. Just thought I'd mentions and see if it you meant PP2 & TT2. Thanks.
So I have a fryer that the pilot will light but as soon as I release the plunger it immediately turns off. Thinking it's a bad thermopile but any other suggestions?
Hi. It seems to work fine on med or high setting but when turned to the lowest on setting it will let only a small amount of gas to the burners and does not light and i can smell a bit of raw gas. is there some sort of adjustment on the valve? Thanks
The thermostat settings do not determine gas flow. Whether set to low, medium, or high temperatures, the thermostat just allows the gas valve to flow gas to the burners or not with oil temperature settings.
Pressures are not necessarily affected by altitude. Your orifice tips will need to be adjusted to allow for proper elevation use/combustion. If your gas supply is derated from the gas company, you will not need to adjust the orifice tips. Pressures required will remain the same at elevation or at sea level.
changed the technopile and I went up to .450 I turn on the burners and the slowness goes down to 160 will there be more flame to the pilot it is still the same? pitco 35 I turned the flame off to the pilot and nothing
My Blue seal GT46 Gas fryer turns on but temperature keeps getting hot n hot but then shut off main burner even though the pilot stays lit. It does not turn on the main burner then. Any advice please or helping video?
@@VapeKingMxOficial we did fix it. Purchased a new thermo pile and it worked for 3 months. When it failed second time we bought a heavy duty thermo pile. It is no working. The difference in the thermo piles was one had white cloth over the wire, the heavy duty has braided stainless steel over the wire.
What is the brand and model number of the manometer and that that was used in the video and what was the w.c unit that was selected in the manometer? Could not see the manometer unit? If anyone knows, please help. Also what was the model and the brand of the meter reader being used? Try to get the same manometer and the meter reader and use the same setting because I have the same Pitco Fryer as in the video. Thanks in advance.
Hi sir same valve I am useing in Dean fryer, but my fire is very poor and, yellow, I am useing in LPG gas,gas pressure is 36 milibar,,can u tell me what is solutions for good performance ,, thanks
Ravi, I cannot speak directly towards Dean Fryers, however, 36 millibars for incoming gas pressure for LP gas seems to high. Check with Dean or read the data plate for the fryer to see what the incoming gas pressure recommendations are from Dean.
Really appreciate your video and knowledge thank you for your time God bless.
Thanks for the video. It's very helpful to understand how everything works.
Crystal clear video and Audio

Do you need a hood to have this style of fryer work effectively?
At 4:16 when you checked the MGV coils you place the multimeter in Th2 and Pp2. But you said the Th1 & Pp1. Could you clarify please
You are correct. I stated incorrectly what terminals my meter was placed on. Th2 and Pp2 are correct. Nice catch...thank you.
Pitco Frialator .... Also on the time of 4.30 should be th1 no on th2....
Amazing to actually learn how to troubleshoot. Thk u

Hi, Is there a way to change out water pressure regulator on the pasta cooker? Thanks

What should be the maximum CO reading at the flue outlet ?
I have dean fryer, the knob of pilot won’t turn to pilot or on , I don’t know if have to connect to gas first then can move around or ? Help

Great job, frymaster needs to catch up

The valve is leaking and needs to be replaced

Are you checking ac mV?
Good video. Are the manifold pressures you list for sea level or high altitude? They seem a little high but im in canada and its high altitude here

On my SG14 the pilot light stays lit as I switch to ON, but as soon as I turn on thermostat, the pilot goes out? What is causing this?

A pilot light not holding ?
Combination of high pressure and incorrect aeration will cause this.

Delayed ignition. Clean all the glinted screen.
