LOVE them... and I am not just talking, "the hits" singles and radio play. so many AWESOME hidden gems! Clones for example. last song on Sci-Fi Crimes... one of my favorites.
Totally agree with aldeend. Heavy/Rock genres are always kind of like an assault on something. A lot of bands rely on their heavy riffs, railing guitars, brutal drums, and always-shredding vocals to head up their assault. Kind of like an all-out war. And don't get me wrong, sometimes you totally need that kind of music. But Chevelle isn't all-out assault, its a strategic assault. Sometimes soft, sometimes explosive, sometimes grinding, sometimes smooth. Always a hint of menace and hidden power in all elements of production. I understand why Chevelle is an acquired taste, and I'm fine with that. Their masterful art of musical attack will always speak something new to me.
These brothers need more recognition... Chevelle is such an underrated ( 3 member band ) let's not forget....3 member ...they sound so good live and Pete chops that axe so well while belting out awesome vocals ...ppl can talk shit all they want but get up on that stage and try to WOW thousands of fans ...case closed
only two are brothers now. the third left a while ago because he did care and was only in it for fame leading to then making a shit load of songs about him.
Last time I saw Chevelle, I was totally mesmerized how Pete played the guitar with such style WHILE providing awesome amazing vocals at the same time. Incredible band
Groovy song. If Chevelle, Tool and Deftones were to write a song, I think it would sound pretty bad arse. Especially with all three lead singers doing some killer vocal harmonies, over a Hard rock, alternative, experimental music piece.
Passenger shouldn't really beconsidered a Tool song...I mean, it has Maynard in it, but it's missing the other Tool elements (like the drums...gotta love Tool's drums). I think it would be great to have some of each of those aspects in one song. The great vocals from each band, as well as some joint writing on the lyrics and instruments.
Wow! Dark Crystal, that takes me back! I think this song uses an alternative meaning of Fizgig which is "a frivolous or flirtatious girl". When you listen to the lyrics you can feel the angst of a relationship gone wrong. "I woke up with nothing left, but an empty look and bitter taste, my line of good judgment, just happened to change" and "who are you, ya little devil"
Every one of their songs rock , my brother introduced me to chevelle , I was hooked after listening to the wonder what's next album. The very first song I heard by them was the red , Badass
It's probably from La Gargola because this album *12 bloody Spies* is a collection of songs that didn't make it on the list but not because they're bad.
The new sound here is kickass, totally gave me chills. I can't wait for a new album full of this type of music. DON'T KEEP US WAITING TOO LONG! I love it
This is really well made; LOOK, one thing I can guarantee about Chevelle is this and I knew it since I listened to them 2 years ago. They put QUALITY time into making their music. they are not too "feminine" in the voice or corny in lyrics to be a "cute" band. They are neither these self adsorbed hardasses to appeal to an angry hardcore male crowd. These guys are focused with their music. They sound different in most of their songs, even though they are consistent. This is music, period
Honestly, more bands need to take risks like this. The meaning is obviously quite unclear, and the music video doesn't help us either. I find this great. It's a Friday night, and my friend and I are just discussing/analyzing this music video/lyrics. THAT is what makes musicians like Chevelle special- they provide us with entertainment, but also make us think about their music. AWESOME! More people need to listen to music that does this...
I can picture them doing this song live with the video in the background. Saw them a few months ago in Lubbock Texas with Halestorm and Evanescence- It was AWESOME ! Chevelle looks like 3 guys that just walked outta library, then step on the stage , then commence to ROCK"N your ass off!!!
All the time, for the first few listening, i'll never understand their new songs..but I GET IT much later, and then just keep admirating for great talent
Chevelle's songs always have the perfect balance of hardcore and mainstream. Some people would criticize them for being "lukewarm" and doesnt go straight hardcore with their style, but imho what people think Chevelle's weakness is actually their strength.Their lyrics are always well thought out and mature, which cant be said for most hardcore stuff.
thank you for this because i was so god damn confused by this song. I tried to listen to it like ten times but still didnt get what it was about until this. ty lol
I hear so much tool in these guys lately. Emotional release and dynamic in the lyrics and rhythmic dirt in the guitar that drives it home. Great themes. Solid work Chevelle
i feel the same way, i found myself hooked on this group after take out the gunman and havent stopped since....still patiently waiting for the tool album that may not come to pass
They may be changing a bit in these more recent years, but I can still really get into their songs. They're not getting softer like many bands that were once great, and they stay true to their general beat and theme. They've been my favorite band for years, and I don't think that's going to change.
damn they never fail me :) every album some how always has a new vibe but the chevelle stamp on it, they keep getting better and better if thats possible lol
Thanks man. Glad you were able to check them out. The one I'm really hoping more people start listening to is Ceterum. They have SO much talent but a much smaller fan base than the other bands up there. Make sure to find them on Facebook and buy their album, "Fathom." It's incredible from start to finish.
i just had mine as well, saw chevelle live last month as my early bday present to myself and now i find THIS awesome song too? i feel like my mind will explode with awesomeness!
me too i kept looking up for more of their songs Chevelle is Awesome once i heard Well Enough Alone i couldn't stop my self and listened to all of their albums they are my Third Fav. Band
Really dig this song. There's yet to be an album or song by chevelle that I don't enjoy. This is no exception. Already excited for the next album, and I don't even know what it is yet. xD
Borleys Except for their first two albums, seether is nothing more than shit. And as you said, Rush is in a different subgenre. By the way, nirvana is overrated.
Chevelle could be considered one of the most consistent heavy rock bands.
LOVE them... and I am not just talking, "the hits" singles and radio play. so many AWESOME hidden gems! Clones for example. last song on Sci-Fi Crimes... one of my favorites.
You're right! the correct word is "consistent" ...
Ivan Daniel This Circus! One of my favorites.
“SHOULD” be considered!
Ivan Daniel clones is the last song on hats off.. lol
Totally agree with aldeend. Heavy/Rock genres are always kind of like an assault on something. You said that perfectly
I love how they are so bass heavy
I know this is an old post.but you worded this in a way I never could.thank you I agree:-)
you say acquired taste, maybe for a few of their songs but the first I heard was hunter eats hunter and I've been hooked ever since
this describes them perfectly! I tried to share the same thought to friend recently didn't word it nearly as well lol
This song is like fucking poetry. So unique, and it sounds fantastic!
fucking and poetry could be poetic, but you state it in such a crude and non-poetic fashion. You could try a bit more artistic expression.
Fuck n' A, man!
Well I mean that's Chevelle for ya lol Their lyrics are very metaphorical.
One of their more underrated songs
I love this song so much. Underrated or naw.
John E well thats because its a bonus song so not many pol have heard it
John E I think Chevelle is underrated when it’s compared to the likes of Disturbed, A7X, Muse, BB, etc...
Most casual listeners have probly never even heard it before. Chevelle's best songs never make the radio but I like it that way.
100% this track is 🔥
These brothers need more recognition... Chevelle is such an underrated ( 3 member band ) let's not forget....3 member ...they sound so good live and Pete chops that axe so well while belting out awesome vocals ...ppl can talk shit all they want but get up on that stage and try to WOW thousands of fans ...case closed
Hell yeah i agree way underrated
only two are brothers now. the third left a while ago because he did care and was only in it for fame leading to then making a shit load of songs about him.
Seether is a 3 member band aswell
Last time I saw Chevelle, I was totally mesmerized how Pete played the guitar with such style WHILE providing awesome amazing vocals at the same time. Incredible band
Dying Fetus is a 3 piece band as well
The music is just bdass, and the video makes it feel so much more surreal.
i feel the cat is the victim in all of this
😄Almost
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Indeed.
💀☠️💀
@@WikkedManpoor cat 😂
This is one of the dopest lyric videos I have ever seen.
Seriously!!!! I thought this was their professional video or something!
What makes me really like Chevelle aside from their lurching guitar riffs is how dynamic their songs can be. Keeps it interesting.
+foxhunter29 Agreed. I love their ambiguous, unclear lyrics. They make you think, which is what all good music should do.
Groovy song. If Chevelle, Tool and Deftones were to write a song, I think it would sound pretty bad arse. Especially with all three lead singers doing some killer vocal harmonies, over a Hard rock, alternative, experimental music piece.
Well we do have a Deftones and Tool song. We just need to get Chevelle on board. It would sound GREAT.
Yeah Passenger was great
Very great. The voices blended perfectly.
oh I couldn't agree more mate.
This song has my favorite intro of any Chevelle song. Its somewhat haunting.
that tasty bass tone
Dude, they just keep getting heavier. This is good. Very good.
Every one of their songs rock , my brother introduced me to chevelle , I was hooked after listening to the wonder what's next album. The very first song I heard by them was the red , Badass
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
Good song. I wish they would give songs like this air play on the radio rather than the reguritated songs that we hear over and over again.
PLEASE!!! Give Wonder What's Next a break!!
The intro is so badass.
Chevelle has always had the craziest lyrics
just perfect! I didn't expect any less of Chevelle! One of my favorite bands for a long time. Would really like to see/hear them live : )
My favorite CheVelle song
Definitely!
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
Chevelle is one of my favourite bands, I'm grateful for this music and it has helped me so much.
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
All Chevelle is amazing
Such an amazing song. That riff delivers pulses
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
this song could have totally fit on La Gargola
+duckeradin13 FOR SURE sounds like LA GARGOLA
Totally!
About to write that!
It's probably from La Gargola because this album *12 bloody Spies* is a collection of songs that didn't make it on the list but not because they're bad.
SartheLombax I think it’s a stand-alone track because it originally came out in their “Stray Arrows” compilation, which was released in 2012
The new sound here is kickass, totally gave me chills. I can't wait for a new album full of this type of music. DON'T KEEP US WAITING TOO LONG! I love it
Love the song, love the lyrics, love the video. Has a distinctly dark vibe to it. Too bad this song never got air play.
The poetry in these lyrics..
Love it. It's got a "Hats Off To The Bull" vibe. Keep the cool new songs coming, Chevelle!
Gotta dig deep in the earth to find a track this good
This is really well made;
LOOK, one thing I can guarantee about Chevelle is this and I knew it since I listened to them 2 years ago. They put QUALITY time into making their music.

oh god, I just love this type of music
Breaking Benjamin and Chevelle just know how to blow my mind away
"Don't leave a note or feed the cat and shoes don't fail me now" That is a very clever line in the song.
All the time, for the first few listening, i'll never understand their new songs..but I GET IT much later, and then just keep admirating for great talent
really like this song, it kinda has that same mysterious feeling like envy.
They never fail to amaze me with anything they put out.
HELL YES. This is real chevelle. Not so contained as hats off, just real chevelle again!
Love this band❤
Masterpiece
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘

Chevelle is one of those rare bands that have a slew of really good songs 🤘

Amo chevelle 🤙😭
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
The greatest hits collection, Stray Arrows, just came out this week.
She ran off to find someone a little more perfect so now he's out looking for someone who's a little less of a perfectionist
Nailed it. Sums it up exactly.
thank you for this because i was so god damn confused by this song. I tried to listen to it like ten times but still didnt get what it was about until this. ty lol
This is MY FAVORITE CHEVELLE SONG !!! 😎
Sounded like Face to the Floor + Random Words + With a touch of 90s.
Have always absolutely LOVED these guys. Their sound works for me and they have never disappointed me.
this might be my favorite chevelle song?!?!??!?!?
This may be one of the best songs I've ever heard. Not even kidding.
Chevelle definitely one of my favourite bands. Hadn't heard this track until now, and it didn't disappoint !!
I hear so much tool in these guys lately. Emotional release and dynamic in the lyrics and rhythmic dirt in the guitar that drives it home. Great themes. Solid work Chevelle

Once again. This song is 100% pure badass! CheVelle rocks!
this band makes me happy
I loved that! It was all over facebook and twitter! I knew he would be on his feet!
Still have a hard time believing they are just a trio.... amazing!!
Love Chevelle, infatuated with the song, and hell even the artwork is awesome.
damn they went in a totally new direction with this. i love it. super creative songwriting.
Digging this, just saw them last night in Myrtle Beach and they blew the roof off!
They may be changing a bit in these more recent years, but I can still really get into their songs. They're not getting softer like many bands that were once great, and they stay true to their general beat and theme.
They've been my favorite band for years, and I don't think that's going to change.
This song is AWESOME!! Chevelle rocks!
Awesome new song, Can't wait till the new album. This song is just a taste, wait till the other new songs come out! Chevelle rocks!!!!

Saw this live last week, good song, thought it was better live. Love chevelle
Chevelle fan since 2003 and proud of it!
PLAIN AND SIMPLE BADASS
Youre absolutely right. Their music has always been great....until 2010 when they released 1000 Suns.
me too i kept looking up for more of their songs Chevelle is Awesome once i heard Well Enough Alone i couldn't stop my self and listened to all of their albums they are my Third Fav. Band
I know that, It's like a greatest hits that they pick. What I'm saying is I can't wait for the new album with new songs in a possible 2013 new album.
Any Song by Chevelle is BadAss.
Such a great and weird song!
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “ The Wave” by SLT 🤘
Really dig this song. There's yet to be an album or song by chevelle that I don't enjoy. This is no exception. Already excited for the next album, and I don't even know what it is yet. xD
another great song! damn, i love these guys.
Chevelle are just superb in every way
Que tema tan bueno, nunca lo habia escuchado, ufff al comienzo pense que no era de CHEVELLE por la vos de Pete, pero uff que tema tan bueno
Favorite Part of this song is the Dean Bernardi Bassline... its kickass
Love Chevelle! Wish they'd release a new song every month!
This is a bonus track, so I wouldn't expect it to be one of the best songs. Still, I find it enjoyable. Awesome band.
like that song!epic,great lyrics.great CheVelle.
Yeah, Chevelle!!!
I envy any fan who has heard this live. Saw them on LG tour in ‘14 but this was not on the list. Wonderful assault of heaviness.
Tool-like sound makes me like this song even more!
compare these guys to others, no other 3 piece has made such a beautiful racket since Helmet.Nothing short of great song writing and execution!
What about Seether or (even though they're a different subgenre) Rush?
Borleys Except for their first two albums, seether is nothing more than shit. And as you said, Rush is in a different subgenre. By the way, nirvana is overrated.
If you say so.
Do you still like Seether? Their first album iss badass.
jon misery "Beautiful racket" love it! :D
Chevelle is absolutely amazing.
one word for that final part: BRUTAL .
Well... Is Chevelle, always doing amazing stuff. LOVE IT!
