My mood that night began to initially change for the much better when Trump took Ohio (and did so convincingly), considering that is the ultimate bellwether state, which literally ALWAYS votes for the winner. That along with being the first double Obama state which flipped for that matter also. North Carolina was also very huge, since that was thought by many to be the one Romney state which would be in serious jeopardy for Trump, yet won it by a slightly wider margin. That despite the fact that Arizona was actually the closet out of them, albeit just barely. Iowa was also a pretty exciting victory too, which he got by a surprisingly wide margin as well. Florida was when you really began to think Trump was going to somehow win this thing against such apparent strong odds, while you knew he had it won after finding a way to get Wisconsin, then clinched it with taking Pennsylvania.

@David Smith i have my own business. One reason I like him is because under his new Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, I receive a 20% qualified business income tax deduction on my passthrough income. That, coupled with the overall decrease in tax rates from 2017 to 2018, has decreased my tax liability by 1/3 from 2017 to 2018. He's taking care of hardworking Americans like myself. Frankly it angers me that Democrats ignorantly think I'm stupid because I voted for President Trump. I didn't achieve what I've achieved in life by being stupid. Trust me. Currently there isn't a qualified Democratic candidate running for president, but November 2020 is still a year away...thus as it now stands I'm voting for Trump again.

I'm a black female college student with a full time professional job, and I remember on election night 2016 I went home and drank almost a 6 pack of beer, turned off all forms of media and communication (TV, phone, computer, etc) and went to bed bracing myself for waking up to the next 4 - and possibly 8 - years of hell. I woke up the next morning and got dressed for work - still avoiding any news because I knew I would be too depressed to go in to work of I heard. Then my son came downstairs and, despite me telling him not to tell me anything he just HAD to blurt out "Did you see the news?? Trump won..." And that was one of the most epically awesome days of my life. 8 years of Obama nightmare were NOT going to continue! This was a night I will remember for the rest of my life! It was absolutely incredible. I cried with joy! Ended up being awake until after 3:30am & had to get up for work, at 7 something. Didn't care! I slept so wonderfully that night!!! We have to get out and VOTE in 2020. The dems are doing everything they can to try & de-legitimize our President. I'm a black female college student with a full time professional job, and I remember on election night 2016 I went home and drank almost a 6 pack of beer, turned off all forms of media and communication (TV, phone, computer, etc) and went to bed bracing myself for waking up to the next 4 - and possibly 8 - years of hell.
I woke up the next morning and got dressed for work - still avoiding any news because I knew I would be too depressed to go in to work of I heard.
Then my son came downstairs and, despite me telling him not to tell me anything he just HAD to blurt out "Did you see the news?? Trump won..."
And that was one of the most epically awesome days of my life.

i remember watching this live; oh how things have changed. back then i was a libtard and after trump won i remember feeling this weird dark feeling inside of me. looking back, i now know that that feeling was TDS. i had it pretty frickin' bad. luckily for me i started taking some redpills and slowly but surely i came to my senses and realized that not only is Trump not that bad, he's actually frickin' awesome! we truly needed him as president, he is the only one with the guts to take down these corrupt politicians. a lot of Americans are still asleep and don't realize that they are supporting monsters that want to destroy the country. i can only hope that more people will start waking up just like i did. and i'm proud to say that my first time voting in a general election will be for Donald J.
