PS - Here is a little backstory to the making of this song. On our way to the salt flats to film this, we were made aware of the story of a local 16 year old girl who was celebrating the end of the school year with friends. She was sitting on a hammock tethered to a large upright landscaping rock. The rock tragically broke and fell on top of her, killing her.
Obviously her family was(is) devastated and we were too. Instantly this song and video took on new meaning, and we structured the video to match these new emotions we were feeling.
Savanna starts the video by herself, left behind by a loved one passing on. Singing a song of comfort to herself. Singing hope for "angels" to come circling. Then that loved one appears (as if in a dream) to sing comfort to her in her time of need. "A world away, but not so far that you can't reach".
As the loved one who passed has to move on, you see Mat slowly disappear behind Savanna, leaving Savanna by herself, but never alone. "You'll always have my love".
Then Savanna walks away into the sunset, but with an added measure of comfort in her journey.
It felt like the message this 16 year old girl would give her grieving family if she could. I hope you feel the peace this song and message intended.

This is such a beautiful song. Matt, if there were to ever be a perfect example of a Father, it would have to be you. The videos of your songs, your family, and the look on your face when you see them. You and your wife are doing an amazing job of showing this world how important the love of family is, and most importantly, how you both are raising your children to treasure the love of Christ. @@gloria4506the shaw fam us just a online group of people whom think their the only ones that matter in mat and savanna’s eyes . And for that I no longer pay attention to them. Everyone should matter, if someone spends their money to buy their music, they should matter no matter what their social or financial status is. Shunning them out us not a Christian thing to do. Christ doesn’t shun those who are less financially off. He ate his last supper with everyone.

Well…I’m emotionally overwhelmed right now. My oldest granddaughter is about to turn fifteen. I’m not getting any younger. With some extraordinary medical intervention it seems I’ll be around for a while yet. I’m going to learn this beautiful song and dedicate it to all four of my grandchildren. This is touching, beautiful, pulled at my heartstrings. The daughter I had the day before I turned 18 is now 38 and I am estranged from her. She is with a guy that isn’t safe & has had 2 children that I have never met ( my grandkids) there is nothing I can do, she won’t leave her situation. She will always have my love, “my baby”
