The voice of the host Paul Coia was the first voice heard on Channel 4 when it launched in 1982.
It was produced by Leslie Mitchell Associates for BBC Scotland and presented by Paul Coia it started on 17th May 1985 and ended on the 23rd May 1995.
Didn’t know it started as far back as 1985? Was it only on in Scotland at first?
the first series was hosted by Gyles Brandreth.
Used to watch this with my father after school. I was more excited for this than CITV
A brilliant find! From the days when most of BBC Scotland's output came from Queen Margaret Drive in Glasgow.
This is what game show should be, fun and easy, no dramatic effects, no loudsy sound effects.
I like this show. Even though this was from late 1990 the whole music and production had a very 80s vibe to it! It was kind of like the poor man's Countdown but without the fun.
As I keep insisting, 1990 is really part of the 80s rather than the 90s if you know what I mean
@@jmxtvarchive9064 It certainly felt that way. I loved the 80s!
Paul Coia always had an odd, detached persona. He wasn't particularly likeable or dislikeable.
Floccinaucinihilipilification
Nobody likes a showoff.
