I always remember John and Shep with such fond memories. I was 6 when this was aired! My 5 month old Border Collie is pure black and white, working stock, but physically looks exactly like Shep did at the same age as I have seen many pics of Shep at different ages. I often think of Shep when I look at him and he also brings back childhood memories of one man and his dog!
John was one my heroes when I was growing up,along with Graham Hill so professional but made you laugh at same time. I like the way John gets things wrong sometimes but just carry’s on .

This is amazing, thanks so much for uploading & sharing. Blue Peter was one of my favourite programmes as a child, I was always fond of John & Dog Shep. He was a great role model. R.I.P.
His comedic talents were so understated. He used them brilliantly.

The dreadful rise of technology even in 1977 - John took it in his stride. Wonderful memories that will live with me forever.

John Noakes was the first singer/musician to use autotune on UK TV. Ahead of his time!
I can remember this. Thanks for uploading.
Shep must have been driven to near insanity by the noise. See also . . . Roy Castle clip demonstrating the “spoons” (and drumkit)😆
Daleks!
Get down, Shep!
Lovely ! Wow, wasn't he good !
"I could do myself an injury!" Classic humour from a legend.
