I’m going to break down the mistakes made, what you should do, and how to beat Ghostfaces in SCREAM VI.

I did enjoy the old Nerd Explains. Now it's just listening to a dude yelling for the entirety. It just doesn't hit my brain the right way. Oh well.
There was always a bit of that in the older videos with some of the comments. A combination of the two would be ideal but I'm just glad he's uploading consistently. Much better than those other channels in my opinion.

Yeah, the cast was amazing and they had fun, but the scripts were bad. "WRITERS STRIKE, WE DONT GET PAYED ENOUGH" Maybe thats cuz you wrote the worst script ever dumb ahh.
I also would like to point out FBI agent Kirby & Investigative reporter Gale are both understandably obsessed with any ghostface cases that come up yet neither of them ever found out that Det. Bailey was Richie's dad? How does that pertinent information go undiscovered?

@@tattedupluv not just multiple murder case, it's serial killer copycat case. That shit goes to FBI, no one from that station is laying hands on this case, especially since the evidence from previous similar cases went missing from police lockup.

This movie was a competition between the protagonists and antagonists as to who could screw up the worst.
I know they like making the characters dumb so the killer can seem "scary" or "powerful", but at this point it's just an annoying movie now.
You might like "You're Next" most of the characters are pretty dumb but the final girl Erin is a formidable and intelligent opposition to deal with.
It’s a case of the movie writers wanting their social messaging but it also conflicts with the plot at times
It reminds me of Barbie. They really wanted to push the oppressed woman narrative but they also insisted that the women be empowered and independent
They do the same thing with Sam.. it makes it hard for me to really see her as a victim when she is just a badass
Wes and Kevin understood the final girl had to be vulnerable and actually lose at times. Here they give the girls so much agency it’s obvious they are never actually going to be in any danger and their victory isn’t very satisfying.
This Ghostface was diffrent, you could see it in bodega, it was brutal, efficient and by all means personal. You could see he was combat trainied. With the way he clears bodega. It was obvious it was either Wayne Bailey or Kirby Reed, a Police Officer and FBI Agent respectivly.
It is pretty damn hilarious they allowed Bailey not only to work a conflicted interests case but we see not 1 cop besides him and Kirby. Apparently it’s a 2 person investigation
I knew right away the chick was one of the killers because she was the only one that got killed offscreen, and like Joe Bob Briggs use to joke, #1 rule of slasher movie is that no one is dead unless you see them decapitated or impaled.
Also is it just me or Jenna Ortega's character (Tara I think?) had major plot armor? She got stabbed in stomach and back I think and she somehow still managed to jump around, fight Ghostface and get revenge, yet somehow didn't bleed to death from all those major wounds.
To be fair. The cop probably trained his children.

@@BuetifullPersunidk. They could have just made her be in the hospital. They should have stabbed her more, to make a fakeout death probably.
It was more in the shoulder, the cast was probably for it, but the stomach needs stiches asap. Bleeding out is really bad. She should have been in the hospital and she shouldnt move much to not destroy her shoulder or whatever is left of the bone connecting the spine/back otherwise you can be paralyzed for life. She got lucky with the stab placement that JUST could have missed her vital bones and tissue. But yeah, she shouldnt be walking with that stomach. Bring her to the hospital. But movies are never realistic and they aren't meant to be. The movie isnt trying to be realistic but just provide you with fun.
After watching Your Next, movies like this don't do it for me anymore. A killer being a normal person would have all the same limitation; they trip and fall over, they suffer from exhaustion, they be easy to handle in a group. Unless they're packing heat or are in a group, humans are not that hard to deal with.
I would love to see a video here on "You're Next" there's still plenty of rostable characters but Erin would be a nice change of pace from just constant stupidity. Not saying she doesn't make a single mistake but at least she makes a true effort to survive instead of just wildly running into dead ends.
That's the main reason I've always found supernatural horror movies to be scarier. I can suplex some dude in a Halloween costume. The hell am I going to do about Zargeťhęl the demonic prince of CBT?

Edit: I agree, that final showdown was atrocious. I love the Scream franchise but seeing him charge Samantha with a LOADED GUN made me groan in the theater. That was so fucking stupid. If the writers really wanted him to charge her, they could’ve, I don’t know, even made it so that he tried shooting her but his gun jammed so he had to ditch it and charge her with a hidden knife or something… I don’t know.

Dead meat is not gonna go harsh or give his real opinion on the last two scream movies since his friends are the directors
I’d replace Dead Meat with Cherry. He brings creativity to the table and Dead Meat is redundant. NE and HTB in my opinion are naturally funnier and don’t even try

To be fair he’s pretty good at dodging until it’s convenient to be clumsy. I’d say just ask Ghostface questions. They’ve never killed someone in the middle of a question. The only thing Ghostface likes More than murdering is monologuing.

Listening to Nerd while working gave me a pretty neat headcanon. A disturbingly capable Ghostface (dual wields, parkour, breaks every rule, unpredictable and creative), going around on a several month long spree, killing off fanatical fans, copycat killers, anyone that's writing a book or making a film about it, and every other main character that's still alive in this franchise, all because he's sick and tired of how dumb, repetitive and soulless it's gone and just wants it all to end, who turns out to be some background classmate of Sidney's or something, and just kills Tara and himself off, and pins the blame on Sam
I agree with everything but Tara is too much of an adorable little thing to be killed.
Its the sisters trilogy. Neither of them dying in this trilogy lol. They plan to make more than 7 if they are a success. Mindy and Kirby are highest likely to die along with Danny and possibly Mark
I never cared about Gale but I really wished she wasted that ghostface in the apartment, considering she had ton of experience. Plus after killing them it would’ve been funny if she made critique about how sloppy or cliché the killer is.

What winds me up, amongst other things, is the cleaning the knife from blood gimmick. I understand that it is supposed to be Ghostfaces signature, but non of the killers in the whole franchise would have known that the previous killer did that gesture, because it is such a subtle thing, that only maybe survivors would have known that. So when the 2 killers did that simultaneously, my eyes were bleeding.

i'd guess the directors/ screenwriters of stab read gale's books and that went into detail, as gale uses detail, and then used her experience to write the film. and then the killers watched stab. eg: Mickey, Roman, Charlie, Both Amber and Richie watched stab, and all three faces saw richie's home movie, so thats how i can best explain it.

Question for everyone, how is it Ghostface killer(s) can take kicks, punches, throws, basically be in street fights, and not seem to take damage? Someone should have at least a black eye from time to time.
They did give Mickey one but yeah besides that they always no sell injuries. Especially the protagonists.

The whole point of Ethan being there was keeping an eye on him because he was an obvious suspect, whenever he wasn't there attacks were happening...The point of the movies is the tropes so idc that they don't perfectly respond to everything. Idk if I missed it in any of the movies, but I feel like they never try to account for the fact there is always two ghost faces. They're always looking for one person to blame when more often than not its a team.

Scream Vll : multiple stab fan groups or whatever get together and hold a competition, each group taking turns sending out a “ghost face” to try and kill Sam and Tara.
I like the little detail of the bodega being called "Abe's Snake." (Abe Snake was the pseudonym Wes Craven used when he directed porn before his movie career took off)

Interesting timing since not long ago How to Beat did a video on the first Scream movie. Still an interesting concept on any how to beat video on any of the Scream movies since characters are forced to rely on certain rules of a horror genre to survive--depending if it's the original, sequel, trilogy, remake, legacy/requels, and in the case of Scream 6 horror franchise.

Nah I would answer the phone every time. Every time ghostface calls he’s nearby. That information alone is vital in a self defense situation. If he never called it would actually b a COMPLETE surprise when he attacked.

They got stabbed and were walking around cracking jokes and laughing just hours later as if nothing happened. The people that made this garbage are really dumb

When the explanation is better than the movie
they should always have tasers or flip knifes on them, also there were so many opportunities that they missed which was the main reason why they kept getting hurt, so many times they knocked the killer down but never stopped to finish them, chad could have punched the shit out of which ever one that was. Also Anika's death made me rage so hard.
How about a "How to Beat the Scream Saga" where you talk about all of the things movie producers could do instead of beating the skeleton of the previously dead horse.

I’m still thinking the DVD version of ghostface would be the most enjoyable one. A ghostface that has no link with his victims and just want to satisfy a personal blood thirst. No more scooby-do reveal at the end. After all, don’t we all go watch horror for the killer?

What you should do is go to a shop buy yourself a 9mm hand gun (or 380acp if you need a starter), get yourself to a range, practice, practice and practice some more. Then get yourself a CWP and stop worrying over Ghost face. There are no supernatural boogie men in reality. The only monsters in this world bleed. Get the tools and training you need to ensure you're the last one standing.

What's really outrageous is the fact that throughout the entire franchise of Scream, nobody in town has thought of having the murder getup outlawed by now and arresting anyone who's dumb enough to wear it, the number of people who were just strolling around with it on that weren't even the killer is ridiculous
because its from the stab franchise. in the scream universe its a movie costume, and outlawing a costume because a killer used it is so fucking stupid, especially since only three of the killings have happened in woodsboro, and each of those killings were a decade apart. It really isn't as big of a problem as you think. Real life killers have killed people while wearing Michael Myers masks, but did the town outlaw those masks? No, because its not the costumes fault.

I’m far from being a modern day Nancy Drew and even I knew it was Bailey. They make a giant point to say that he is overly obsessed w his daughters safety, but also he is completely fine with her being roommates with someone who half the public thinks might be a psycho killer who got away with it. And even if he didn’t think she was a killer. what over protective father is going to still let you stay with someone who is being currently stalked by a murderer.

Whether Sam Carpenter admits it or not, I think its her father's/grandmothers genetics that kept her alive in both Scream V and VI. Sidney, Gale, Dewey, and even Kirby goes for a gun first because against an opponent that uses a knife range weapons help. But Sam just seems like a is a natural with a knife when facing her enemies. Although I don't blame her for not admitting it since Billy and Nancy Loomis are killers. Still Sam brings a whole new perspective in how to take down the ghostface killers by relying on the same weapon her father used to kill: the knife.
Rather watch nerd explain than watching some movies. Great work bro keep it up

This is great, it addresses all my issues with this movie and then some. My 'favorite' is Bailey running at Sam with a loaded weapon instead of firing... No, wait, it's how he kept the case even after his daughter was pseudo-murder. Or maybe it's how no one ever found out he was Richie's father, or anything about Richie's family in general, despite the whole subreddit dedicated to the dude and having an FBI agent and a reporter on their side. Or even how obvious it was that the detective was involved because of the access Ghostface had to evidence from past crimes. Or you know, 373743 different things.
