I had precisely ZERO sympathy for Alexi at the end of this movie. I didnt pick up on the fakeness of the deaths the first time around, I just assumed it was par for the course bad horror movie direction.
But the reveal at the end that "it was just a prank bro" had my blood boiling. It was like all the insult of a 'and it was all a dream' ending combined with all the insufferability of Mizzy.

Alexei had this horrible idea and money to make it happen. But in the end his friends were the ones who decided to go through with something so cruel. All of them agreed to it. Who is worse a guy who never met us before n dosen't care about the emotional trauma he is about to put as trough or the complicit friends who were near him all the way and should have know that he was on edge, believed this to be real therefore would have attempted to fight if had the opportunity. I blame the friends because they didn't act like his friends at all, to think the guy actually came back to fight “Russian mafia” for them is like the cherry on top if this horrible situation.
It's strange, because I think what elevates the quality of this movie was the fact that it was all a prank, after all, looking back, even with first believing it was bad direction, it's not like we weren't given a lot of hints that it was all a prank. Everyone still sucks in this scenario, though I do remember something about Cole "wanting a challenge" and his friends delivered.
I feel bad for Cole in this situation. This man literally saw his friends get perpetually killed and now he has to live through the trauma, while knowing that his friends and the fans of his UA-cam channel pulled a "prank' on him. What his "friends" did was honestly screwed up in the highest regard. I hoped he honestly sues all of them and gets therapy afterwards.

I don't blame him. It's easy to see the signs while sitting at home on my pc, but Cole actually lived it. The dude was freaking out and legitimately thought his life was in danger. It's like when people ask about a murder "why did he stab him 30 times surely he was dead after 3". Clearly, you've never been in a situation like that. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.

@@TheDsRequiem Both of you are right and wrong. Stabbing someone doesn't instantly kill them. Even when stabbed in a major artery, the victim will flail and struggle for almost the full 30 seconds in panic, necessitating more stabbings. The victim may have suffered a fatal wound after 3, but he didn't stop moving until after stab #30. The last three were likely to make sure they stayed dead.
Also it depends on how much your feeling in the moment because if it was straight about the kill god aim somewhere like the throat but if you don’t have a choice to think it out you’d just start stabbing randomly until you felt the threat was over. Really depends on the scenario.
honestly Cole isn't spending jail time on this one in no way shape or form could anyone be convinced he didn't think his life was legitimately in jeopardy
Sure they couldnt be convinced he wasnt acting within reason, but a Russian judge could sure be convinced by the oligarchy to ignore the justifying circumstances (or appearance thereof). Russia isnt known for its adherence to rule of law, more for its adherence for rule of power, and as an oligarch you want to make sure that no one gets away with killing another oligarch, even if it is completely justified. Might hive people the wrong ideas.
Best bet is to make a run for the consulate before the russian police, or worse a different group of thugs with guns, gets to you.
TL;DL: Just because the law says so doesnt mean a judge in a country notorious for corruption and meddling in the justice system will actually follow its direction
@@RepChrisI highly doubt 1 millionaire that basically set up his own death is worth an international incident. Putin may be a dictator but he's not stupid.
So instead of either giving clues to its fakeness or having someone he thought died stand next to Alexi at the end of it, they thought, “Let’s mentally abuse and almost break this man for a prank by letting him think his closest friends died, what could go wrong?” What’s worse is that it feels like they see him as a monster now, EVEN THOUGH THEY LITERALLY F***ED WITH HIM WITH THAT AWFULY? They definitely deserve karma.
Like seriously they have so much evidence they recorded the judge and jury could watch this entire thing and realize this entire prank went to far to the point of deliberately and psychologically make the intended victim loss their mind and go berserk at the end.
It reminds me of an old show i use to watch back when i was a kid 20 years ago, were things go wrong. One episode had this guy from Argentina come home for the plankters to disguise themselves as a bunch of hostage takers and take him his wife and kids hostage. However the guy they were pranking was a cop and he had his gun at the time, the second he saw his family he went berserk and shot one of the pranksters in the leg and the wife was like stop its all a prank. Revealing she hired people to pull an elaborate prank on the guys birthday.

I am being completely serious the only thing that may save him is him being a tourist and the entire world apparently knowing this happened and even so he I have my reservations about his well-being. People have no idea how corrupt is Russian police, I mean as a Russian living in Europe I know that it's kinda a common knowled but I doubt that people realize the extent people ending up beaten to death during “interrogation” is not uncommon and sometimes it happens without the cops being paid. I the case of a pregnant woman beaten to death because she refused to confess something a neighbor reported her for (and she was innocent) it really stuck with me because they did it just because they could.
So for me this happening in Russia is the scariest part. Seriously poor guy...
yeah i understand that still this was streamed live so of Coles family and the US gov. Negotiate a full extradition i mean this has happened before in other country's, will have too simply bend over and take it from Russia on this one.
If Cole those not leave Russia well we got a set-up for the sequel were he escapes the Gulag after a few years of abuse and torture. Got back to the US and killed everyone of his friends involved in his mental breakdown and his eventual arrest.
No Escape could be a good set up for another movie where Cole is the slasher because of how traumatizing this first movie's events were for him.
30 years later cole is released from prison and he began his masterplan where he would set up all his "friends" and Oof them 1 by one. Kinda like Until Dawn where they pull a "prank" on this girl and then she becomes a Wendigo.

There’s a reason haunted houses are so strict about weapons and items that could be used as a weapon (casts were not allowed, probably for liability, but come on, getting whacked in the face with a cast would hurt). When people are scared (and psychologically tortured like Cole), they are unpredictable and if they believe there is a threat, expect them to react violently.
The main point of this video is that he should’ve simply known that it was all fake, but realistically you wouldn’t be thinking this when you’re actually in this situation
And nerd points that out but there comes a point where you will see something off lets be honest if you were trapped by supposed red room killers do you think it would be as easy as it was for them to excape
Then on the other end as soon as they 'killed' his gf and saw the man has snapped word should have gotten to the boss saying may want to call this prank short before he actually kills some

@Sam the creepypasta maniac I don't know about that. I think I would know. For one reason only. I'm a random guy with no survival experience. If I was actually going up against the Russian Mob, I'd there's no way I'd have gotten as far has he did.
After being repeatedly captured and repeatedly escaping the room I was locked in, I'd realize that weren't bothering to actually stop me. That alone would get me to stop and think. The only way to be tricked by this is to think you're someone that could out maneuver the Russian mob. I know that's not me, so I'd know something wasn't adding up.
I mean to close the video out, he talks about how messed up everybody is for basically force feeding Cole this narrative, making it almost impossible for him to see it as fake, and then not taking any precautions for if he actually did buy into it for real
Even if this whole event went off without a hitch, Cole absolutely would have snapped from all of this and have these guys tortured and killed for real.
This movie would have been way better from the POV of Alexei and the friends. And when Cole starts brutally murdering the mafia actors they realize that there’s no way to tell him it’s fake that he’ll believe anymore.
A side note for cpr. Incase of heart attack you only need chest compression, but if you deal with drowned individual then you also need to do mouth to mouth to clear up the waterfilled airway.

I'd like to add that in case of drowning the rescue breaths are actually very important. It is recommanded to actually start with 5 breaths and then continue with 30:2 cycles.
Yup. Often you only need rescue breaths (check the pulse!), or even just put them in the recovery position if they are still breathing but unconscious.
Dont try to get the water out, that will delay giving breaths which will increase mortality. As soon as they are breathing again put them in the recovery position, vomiting is very common and one of the main causes of mortality.
Even if they seem fine, CALL AN AMBULANCE IMMEDIATLY, while another person starts resuscitation. "secondary drowning" and the vomiting for instance can manifest some time after initial stabilization, or even without severe primary exposure, and can be very lethal
12:37 Trying to solve the puzzle before watching more of the video, I know that in order to solve this normally, you fill the 3 litter jug from the water tap, fill the 5 jug with the 3 jug, fill the 3 liter jug again from the tap, fill the 5 liter to the top from the 3 jug, leaving 5 liters in the 5 jug and 1 liter in the 3 jug, empty the 5 jug, fill the 5 jug with the 1 liter from the 3 jug, fill the 3 jug to the top using the tap once more, then empty the 3 jug into the 5 jug, making 4 liters.
However, since those gears had sound effects as to whether or not the gear was in the right place, I am wondering if the “scale” will just register 4 liters if the 5 jug was filled, then tipped over so water leaks out until at least 4 liters are left. That might be a good thing to try and see if you could cheese this puzzle… if you had enough time to do so. With what Cole wasted, there was no time to relax.

As a swimming instructor, we are taught that, with a drowning accident, you first check consciousness, then 5 breaths.
After that you dont need to do mouth to mouth
If I recall correctly, some places recommend rescue breaths in cases of drowning, since the persons blood might already be very low on oxygen.
Don't take my word for it though. Look it up.
Also, literally everyone needs to know how to do chest compressions!

Though in my country, we no longer have to do breaths after the first 5, because they want to prioritise the chest compressions.
Obviously though, if you do have an oxygen mask around, then it should be used.

Actually, one should only do chest compressions if you don’t know how to properly do CPR, since it is better to keep the blood flowing with what little oxygen it has, than stop and give ineffective rescue breaths. If it does not introduce any more oxygen to the system, it only causes the blood to stop flowing and for less gases to be transported.
If you do know how to do proper rescue breaths however, you should do them.
What most ppl dont realize is having a smart phone is the equivalent to having a laptop on your hip😂

For the part talking about dealing with someone who has recently drowned, yes of course you check for a pulse and if they're breathing. Specifically rescue breaths should be used for drowning victims. It's things like heart attack victims that you should only do chest compressions. I believe it's two rescue breaths followed by something like 40 chest compressions? That number could be wrong though.

1. They traumatized him into believing the escape room was real.
2. Just when they are about to leave they traumatize him by thinking one of their friends and the bodyguards were executed.
3. Then they traumatized him by kidnapping him.
4. Made him watch his friends being tortured.
5. He tried to rescue the remainder of his friends only to be traumatized by them being killed while he attempts rescuing them.
6. They then traumatize him by letting him kill the person he thought was responsible for killing all his friends only to find out it was all just an elaborate prank.
Yeah if I was Cole I would be moving to live in the wilderness alone after this. I'd have major trust issues.

This movie is basically The Game with the tiktok gen as protagonist. Originality is really something that is missing these days.
According to 2023 emergency response team training. A version of mouth to mouth is still a good call for adults. But you’re supposed to use something like a breathing mask that covers both the nose and mouth so you can tilt the head back for better air flow. But that’s after you get enough water out with chest compressions lol.
Doesn't the good old pinch the nose, lift the chin, and breathe over the open mouth do the same thing though?

Let's be honest once we saw the first execution and it the effects were good enough for us to believe it's real we wouldn't have been attempting to fake a medical emergency to see if the game stops. It was dark, it was far enough for him to see well “the body”, and it happened very fast. He was already scared and on top in a foreign country.
And we all would have attempted to either run or fight. At least it was broadcasted so American embassy will intervene to bring him back alive and he has his self-defense motive documented. Now as Russian I must tell the last thing he needs is end up locked after murdering a millionaire’s son. Him ending up beaten to death in prison sell not even by inmates but by cops is a real possibility unless his useful friends contact the American embassy asap.
More than a prank seems like something they collectively decided to do in order to break this man. Even if it ended “well” as expected the guy would have been traumatized for life, imagine seeing someone you love shot in an execution style. For friends like this who needs enemies?

What did they expect to happen at the end there? Cuz ngl I would have probably done the same as Cole. He legitimately believed that he was in a situation where his friends had been tortured and murdered, he himself was fighting to survive the entire way, and the man who had orchestrated the entire thing was standing right there basically gloating. He was standing between Cole and the exit, and he already proved he was pushed to the point of murder with the whole gun thing. Also fuck his friends, this goes way beyond the "it's just a prank bro" even before the murder, I hope he sues every last one of them.
