- GTA IV is critically acclaimed to be most peoples favourite Grand Theft Auto title and plans for a remaster were on the table. However for the last couple of years there have been no mention of a GTA 4 remaster despite other Rockstar Games titles being released or remastered.

Great video as ever Bailey. Personally I would like to see a port of it since it seems to be forgotten among newer fans of the GTA series since there isn’t a way to play it on the PS4/5. A remaster would be nice, as long as it isn’t as atrocious as the definitive edition. (Also I had the biggest grin on my face when I heard my name at the end 😂)
Just want to be able to play GTA IV on my ps5 honestly 😢

@@BaileyPoints I mean they really don’t we got two remaster versions of games back to back we got the GTA trilogy and then the very next year we got red dead redemption 1. Who knows maybe in November they will announce a trailer for the GTA four just like the timeframe. They did the GTA trilogy remastered for it coming out in early December.

And y'know what makes it even more infuriating. We didn't get it because rockstar didn't like how we reacted to their gta trilogy "defective edition".
You’d think they would want to bounce back after the “defective edition” and deliver a true remaster of one of the best GTA titles of all time, Grand Theft Auto IV.

@@BaileyPointsRockstar hates gta 4 cause when it came out it wasn't as well received as gta san andreas or gta 5. That's why they didn't even care to do anything for its 10th anniversary and after all these years they didn't even just made a port for the game to make it available on ps4.

GTA 4 did very well on sales, it did sell close to GTA San Andreas.
I think they hate GTA 4 is because of the production behind it, there were problems behind production, for example. Michael Hollick, the voice and motion capture for Niko, had some beef with Rockstar because of payment and royalties.
Now he may say that he doesn't blame Rockstar, but the royalties, but I personally think that Rockstar is behind it too, how? I don't know but I do have a big feeling.
Now for sales, GTA 4 sold 21 Million, and GTA San Andreas sold 27 million (I could be wrong so correct me if I am.)
Now for the DLCs? Those didn't sell well at all, for sure they didn't unfortunately.
There were a whole lot of problems behind the development of GTA 4, I just can't remember more, I can only remember with Michael Hollick's beef with Rockstar.
Also their cash cow GTA 5

i would love to have gta 4 that game was my first favorite gta in the franchise they can just port it instead of remaster. However Bully Manhunt Max Payne Red Dead Revolver is not getting remaster i wouldn’t be surprised if rockstar is gonna do the ps2 remasters like they did gta Trilogy Definitive Edition that’s what i think in my opinion

Honestly I just bought GTA IV the complete edition digitally on my ps3 a month ago. If they ever do bring it to modern hardware I’m hoping they just keep all the radio stations and don’t mess up the art style of the game like how they did on the definitive edition.
If you've got the PC version you can use the downgrader mod to restore all of the original content that was removed from the game. This also includes restoring all of the original music.
Rockstar really don’t know what the fans want 😭

Right now the gta fan base is talking about GTA 6 but the real question is will GTA IV be remaster in the future before GTA 6
If Grand Theft Auto VI is going to be delayed I would really like to see a remaster of GTA IV in the meantime to help with the wait.
Gonna say it its the best gta so far with rdr2 being the best game ever made and to just think gta6 is going to be even more groundbreaking.
I was heart broken because we never got a GTA 4 Remaster. I was watching all kind of videos trying to gather information to see if it was coming, 6 years later....still nothing.
I love GTA 4 I prefer it more than 5. The only thing i like more on 5 is better and more vehicles, weapons, online, and customization. But in GTA 4, shooting up hospitals, running over people, driving full speed then bailing, beating people's asses for no reason, i mean the list goes on. Obsolete but not forgotten.
There is something very special about GTA 4. I could tell you why it's better than GTA 5 in many ways but I'd be here all day. Maybe in the future I should do a comparison video breaking everything down.

Talking about the trilogy definitive edition I wouldn't blame Grove Street Games but I would blame Rockstar Games. For giving grove Street games limited time to remaster 3 games and then sell it for $60. Which then with the limited time that grove Street games had for 3 different games they did a good job.
I just want to see if Remedy decides to implement the Euphoria physics into the Max Payne remakes

I've been campaigning for a port of gta IV for YEARRRS! Needed Imo it's a classic 👌

@@BaileyPointsit's still possible because think of red dead redemption 1 it was not getting remastered but it still got a re-release port for switch and ps4 so it's still possible to get a port of gta 4 for modern systems!
😢The pc version has too many bugs and even throws up errors. If only the official side would apply a patch that includes apps like this .........
gta4 is one of the best in the serie, the game physics were on point.
I personally don’t want any more games Remade/Remastered,not just Rockstar games but gaming as a whole is down bad these days,PS5 is almost 4 years old and I can count on one hand how many good new games we’ve got in that time 😢

It's simple, the game is simply too good to remaster and return, it will make GTA 5 AND GTA 6 looks arcade-like and reduce sales, BUT.. heres a good thought process on this... perhaps GTA 4 remaster isn't coming because GTA 7 might be based in New York
They should have remastered 4 first as its newer all you need is to brighten it up and sharpen the graphics a little well on pc any ways it still looks really good for how old it is easier project to take on than the trilogy was then they should have done the trilogy after or they could have just put effort in and actually done stuff rather than just re releasing but worse 😂
Definitely my favourite gya the story is soo good and I like the damage mod and the fact I can pick up objects from the floor and throw them at people and. The fact your character can actually fight Amma go play gta 4 thanks 😂😂😂
A full on GTA4 remake with the rage nine engine in 2028 for the 20th year anniversary of GTA4 would be 🔥

Yeah they should remaster the Complete Edition of GTA 4, that way it would include remastering the Episodes of Liberty City DLC of GTA 4 (TLaD and TBoGT) for I guess at that point the PS6 and whatever the next Xbox is going to be called, but perhaps at that point it should be a remake and not just a remaster.
Would it, though? The physics of GTA5 are complete ass compared to GTA4. I fear that with the newer engine the physics would be simplified, since 4 and 5 don't utilize the same unique combination of euphoria AI / physics cocktail (for whatever reason - maybe performance?)

Rockstar Logic: Why do a simple remaster of GTA 4 which every OG fan wants when you can milk the living soul out of GTA Online and release it 3 times on 3 different platforms so 8 yr old griefers can shoot you non stop on their Oppressors

There is a ton of content cut from GTA 4 which I didn't mention in this video but it would be cool to see it appear in a future remaster or remake of this title.
Makes me appreciate Capcom even more for delivering with their Remakes 😅😂
CAPCOM are doing a phenomenal job with remaking all of their iconic and classic titles such as Resident Evil and now Dead Rising!

I was hearing rumours about a GTA IV remaster for the PS5, and that got me really hyped! I love GTA IV, it's a special game to me, my first GTA and has amazing DLC expansions, and I would've loved an enhanced version of the game on consoles. Regardless of why, it's really disheartening to see that this game seems to be put on the side constantly, as it deserves to be more widely available to try out.
I don't want a remake of IV. I want a version with improved optimisation (and maybe a proper movie/series adaptation of GTA IV that stays true to the story and WITHOUT woke elements)
I think RDR is most importend to get port PC, but if RDR is remasted, i think just for high PC.
I would have loved this game on Switch or just portable in any way other than the overpriced PC handhelds
I'll be honest, I have an OLED Steam Deck and it's an absolute joy being able to play GTA IV on it at 60fps. I'm using the Steam Deck to try and get all the trophies in my spare time.

Well to be honest GTA v came out when all these kids came out so of course is gonna sell more is more kids in this generation also these generation the parents don't even care 😅😅😅 soo naww GTA 4 would of sold a lot more if it was new out the store today days also they keep making the same game but they can't remake GTA IV why
Really gta5 shouldn't have been on ps3 since ps4 came out a month later so I look at it more like it's been around for the last 2 generations and not 3. Anyone who bought it on ps3 should feel lucky they weren't forced into getting a ps4 just to play gta5. I will say the ps4 version should've made an effort into adding all the things they originally cut out of the game due to hardware limitations on ps3. They cut out like 70% of trees and plants from around the city, cut out some sports and some enterable buildings. Would've also been really cool if they went through with adding Liberty City, that would've made this long wait a lot more bearable. Also gta4 deserved to be ported over to ps4 then we could've been playing it on the last 2 generations of PlayStation.
Ps4 wasn't out when gta 5 came out so why would Rockstar wait

I’m still holding hope that a better studio is doing it and it’ll be a pre order bonus for VI.
The PC port of Gta is very unstable and demanding. It would have costed enouemous amoubts of money to fix it.
It wouldn't really since the community has produced a bunch of mods that made the game stable and better than the original PC release i.e restoring cut content like some of the songs on the radio stations. If Rockstar worked with the community they could make an optimised GTA 4 re-release on newer generation consoles.

I just finished playing and completing The Lost and Damned and I had so much fun with it. All of the story expansions for GTA IV are done exceptionally well.

I mean considering how TRASH GTA V is it should get that remaster first, make it gloomy and colorless and add some oil to the roads so the cars handle weird-like.
That wouldn't make sense for GTA V to get a remaster to make it gloomy and colourless. GTA 5 is set in Los Santos which is glitz and glam and sunny weather. The gloomy and gritty atmosphere worked so well for Liberty City because it was based on New York. Thanks for watching!

$60 for the “trash” edition of the OG gta games is a joke. For $30 I modded my old ps2 and played my classic VC on a modern tv with a ps4 controller and had 1000% better experience

True like now after this many releases gta v should never be remastered anymore.
But for games like gta 4 a slight graphic update would be cool cause for the people who play gta v, gta 4 looks a slight graphic degrade.
You're right, but a port to newer generation consoles and ensuring the game is better optimised would be welcomed by the community. Similar to what they've done with LA Noire and Red Dead Redemption.
Remedy remaking Max Payne makes sense because they made the original games, Remedy remaking GTA IV makes no sense.
Nothing is stopping Remedy from being called up by Rockstar Games to make the remake of GTA IV if they do a great job with the Max Payne 1 and 2 remakes. I think it would be seriously cool if they did since they know how to achieve that dark and gritty look and feel which GTA IV is well known for.
