Reality pours like rain over me
As I emerge from the cave
And make my way home
Home beckons like a whisper
In the darkest of nights
The safety it provides
Is an invisible dome
And within this dome
I’ll walk in circles
And remember the day…
I watched you place the seeds
Of each and every tree
In the field we discovered
And you pioneered
Their growth was silent and steady
Just like the hands that planted them
I pray one day we’ll return
And dance in the forest
But for now I’ll dance alone
Within the dome
It’s been thirty years
Since I was carried through time
And fell beneath the Dogwood tree
At His feet
The way, the truth, the Life
No other name takes His place
And the roots of that immortal tree
Grow beneath my home
And within this home
