This tutorial shows how to Restore wireless to defaults using Printer Control Panel on HP LaserJet Pro MFP m28w|29w|m30w|m31w Printer.
After Printer Wireless is reset, it can be connected to a 2.4GHz Wireless network only.
(Printer only supports 2.4GHz)
I struggled for like 30 minutes trying to figure it out on my own. I should’ve checked UA-cam first. Thanks for posting the most useful video.

I did everything on the video but the blue wireless LED still blinking not connected. I use 2.4Ghz network printer m28w. What can I do now?
Thank you! After moving and trying to setup the printer on a new network I couldn't get it connected and the manual on hp's website wasn't any help. Every few weeks I tried to figure it out again only to get frustrated and quit. This finally reset my printer so that I could reconnect via the HP app over wifi and print again!

Didn't help me as well. I was looking for the next step that comes after. Which is how to connect it to the wifi on the computer. Do you connect it with the wifi that your computer uses day to day or each time you print you have to connect it to the printer wifi?

my printer doesn't work any more, on startup, HP on display continuously blinking and nothing more...
How did you get to 0:41 in your video?? You didn't tell us to download anything like the app. Anyway, I download the HP Smart and pick WiFi Direct printer and it is asking for Wireless password. Where can I find this paswword? also is the printer need to be connect by usb first? On your video it was in Green Ready mode and mine doesn't even show up. It reads Add your first printer.

Thanks for checking out the channel! The printer was already connected to the network when we filmed this tutorial. However, it does not need to be connected to the network or via USB. Just follow the steps to do a reset and the printer wireless will be in setup mode. Then "Add your first printer" using HP Smart app.

my issue is that it asks for a password for the printer…. and it does not want to accept my password? 😮 i really do not know what to do.

Alternatively, after Resetting wireless to defaults, use another device (with updated HP Smart app) to try setting up and connnecting printer to the network.

Thanks, now I need to find out how well this printer holds up. I need a monochrome laser printer with a flatbed scanner not the document feeder to scan and save old photos. Not many to choose from under $200.

My problem is my tower dropped constantly over a ten day period thus my router bounced to it's own factory settings. I managed to reboot but at the same time I changed password & router name. Now my HP printer is on lala land. My only thought was to reset printer to factory settings then start all over... At this point I have no wifi to printer. I think that's why this didn't work for me.
Didn't help me either. Wireless light just keeps flashing.
