I am a retired Postal Service employee who began my guitar journey on the encouragement of a postmaster I worked for 9 years ago. I never envisioned that I would have stuck with it let alone growing my guitar collection to 4 acoustics and 2 electrics. Moreover, I have lived my entire life with cerebral palsy on the left side of my body. Furthermore, when I discovered you on UA-cam a few years back, you made something click inside of me from your advice of playing something slow before you play it fast while at the same time playing with intent. Five of the six songs that I have incorporated into my personal Playlist have come from your weekly lessons. With a plethora of guitar teachers on UA-cam to choose from, I must say you are the only one I've found who has the patience, passion, and communication skills to bring it all together for me. I am totally self taught. God Bless you Angela. Finally, I am in search of purchasing my first mandolin to further my musical skills. I was a teenager during the seventies and now playing songs I watched the various groups playing at concerts I attended. There is one song that I would love for you to maybe teach hopefully one day and that song would be Another Park, Another Sunday by the Doobie Brothers. Like you probably don't have enough to do.😃

First Concert was one my older Sister took me to, 1976 Elton John at the Pontiac Silverdome.
I was only 14 years old at the time and even though I was a huge KISS fan the show Elton John put on was crazy good.
Thank you for all the lessons. First concert was Ted Nugent in 76. I seen Led Zeppelin in 77.

This sounds awesome on my 69 Martin D12-20! Tuning in from Brazoria, TX. My first concert was Lynyrd Skynyrd (~ 74)
In January of 1980 I took an old worn out record and put it on my flimsy turn table, heard the first chord and guessed it to be Am. Picked up my old Yamaha (should have never traded it) and played it. Figured out the rest of the song by ear, got it mostly right. That's a fond memory that I have of this song. Congratulations on the 50th episode, sorry I missed it live, I would have enjoyed it Angela. Basketball on TV and snow shoveling.. 🏀❄❄
I got a broken little finger on my fretting hand ,so I can't play a lot of cords, but I can fake it .Barcords for get about it . I still try ! You're the beat ! Thanks !

My first concert was at Eastern Michigan at Bowen Field House. The band was "America." That's when the great late Dan Peek was with the band. First concert was Stella Parton and George Jones '77. I was 7 years old and they played on the Navy Base in Millington Tennessee.
I love your passion and enthusiasm! Tangerine is the third song I learned in 1970, age 13. Someone gave me a guitar so I got a chord chart and put on the radio to learn by ear (I could already read music from snare lessons/grammar school band). 1. I Started a Joke. (Yeah, I see how this works, G, Bm, C, D7...) Radio off, 33s on, Led Zeppelin of course. 2. Babe I'm Gonna Leave you. (Okay, really digging this guitar stuff...) 3. Tangerine. (Fuck, I LOVE guitar!!) Even over 50 years later, the most fun stuff is Jimmy Page acoustic. I love your videos, Angela. They're helping me figure out the odd little bits I was always unsure about. Thank you!
A beautiful song Jimmy Page developed right before the start of Led Zeppelin (while still in The Yardbirds) without any input from Robert Plant, including the lyrics. It then appeared later on Led Zeppelin III. Playing this on my Breedlove Pursuit Concert CE now. You really helped me with that pretty ending sequence. Never could get that right before.
My first concert was the Grass Roots at Disneyland California in 70’s . And I’m in Newton Kansas .

Brooklyn Angela home of the mighty calzone eh!? First concert? oh my gaw i think it was KISS Dynasty Tour 79’ me friends mom took us to the garden and it was incredible I mean for a little kid to see that and very loud then I saw Yes at MSG it was great too they had a rotating stage I often can't recall which one was first but I think it was KISS. Thank you Angela also one of my favorite Zep songs and seeing you teach it is a real treat. I have a Zep tune for ya coming soon if I can ever find the time but hey someone gotta make the cannolis you know what I mean? : ) Thanks again honey always a pleasure learning from you.

I have a 9 string guitar, we'll it was originally a 12, until my day did his silly party piece, and sheared three of them in the act. He won't t replace them as he is a pensioner and told me they were on the verge of breaking before his Townsend windmill impression. I have no money of my own cos I'm wheelchair bound and my grandmother controls my government handout, for being a cripple. My only enjoyment left in life is my broken guitar and eating sausages.
