PLAYING LIVE IN CHICAGO,TOM TAKES TIME OUT TO INTRODUCE HIS BAND,,THEN GETS INTO SOME BLUES AND PLAYS "BORN IN CHICAGO" WHERE HE DELIVERS A NAILED ON PERFORMANCE.
If you at all like this... Check out... 'Honey Bee' by Tom!! At the very beginning, turn your volume up so you don't miss him talking before the song kicks in!!! Totally different Tom and I love it when he sings the blues!!!
best version is and has always been Paul Butterfield's. Roger in case you haven't noticed he is white and so is the writer of that song Nick Gravinties.
As tasty as Campbell's playing was with Tom's songs, , that's about all he's any good on. This, for example, is weak, almost embarrassing and a great example of white boy blues. . not very good.
What a pleasant surprise to see the heartbreakers playing this:)
Another good track ua-cam.com/video/VECeiTjshvo/v-deo.html
Mr. Tom Petty could do it all, damn was this good...

the great tom RIP you were fantastic
Still miss him....
A good rendition of a good song. The song has not been done for quite a while
Crazy how relevant this song is today
Who would have thought. This should have been at least 12 minuets long. They were just warming up!
hats off for TP to pull off this great Paul Butterfeild classic
Kinda knocked my socks off. Thank you for posting this.
Unorthodox blues from Tom...weird but good!
More like unfortunate blues from Tom Petty.
He plays a lot of blues ua-cam.com/video/BqdlDt4O8R0/v-deo.html

Absolutely
H E A L. Y E A H !
best version of this song by a band called blues n trouble from edinburgh.
checked out poor recordings, they appear to match Butterfield
Ok, but doesn't have the balls of Butterfield's original recording or Bloomfield & Gravenites' horn version.
I miss Paul and Mike, and now Tom is gone too.
Drugs kill!
Uhhhhh - not quite.
mild
Not even close to Paul Butterfield and Mike Bloomfield.
Hoping for something a little better but it is what it is that least they tried
You guys are weak! Bring on Butterfield!
Ya that kinda stunk, muscles shoals could do it.
Certain white guys just can't play the blues. Nice try Tom, but no dice.
Didn't even get the words right.
It's okay to be creative with the words, but Tom is no blues man.
just a piss poor harp, sorry but it just sucks
