Shouldn't the bridge saddle height go with the radius of the fretboard? And if it's compound radius, how should you adjust it? I'm still trying to work on a Chapman guitar. And it still buzzed and has to have high action to not buzz, no matter what I do. Im paying too much for this guitar and can't return ( it also has tuning issues which I've got it better than it was. @@radiosilence5290 so by setting the strings with an action height adjustment ruler, and measuring from the top of the 12th fret (15 if compound radius) from the top of the fret to the underside of the string your action will by default follow the radius. @@buck7477 good questions. For the saddles, if the strings are old and grimy change them. They may simply not intonate correctly if that is the case. Sometimes the springs behind the saddles are too long. Sometimes I cut them in half and that lets me pull the saddle back even further. On a few guitars, I have even removed the spring completely and the saddle was up against the bridge plate. That is a factory issue. The bridge plate placement was miscalculated. If you are getting a buzz at the 12 fret then there is a good chance your 13th fret is high. Fret the note at the 13th and 14th fret and if the buzzing stops one or both of those frets are high.
